LED headlamps sure are convenient when packing up at midnight in the dark.

good call.  i travel with two at all times, so i didn't even think of putting it/them on my list.  hand free illumination is the best.  there is a little geek factor to deal with though...

OK, I'll start this thread off, and you all can add whatever you think you absolutely have to have....

Make sure you bring warm clothing like fleece and especially rain-gear that will fit over the fleece.  Even if it doesn't rain, the rain-gear over the fleece will keep you toasty warm.

A small flashlight or head-lamp.  Use for searching for stuff on your tarp in the dark, and take with you to the port-a-johns at night.

Plenty of cash.  For CD's, vendor food, beer, a shower, a meal out on the town, groceries, illicit drug money, etc...

Little two-way radios.  Great for tarp to town or tarp to Town Park comunicating where cellphones don't work.  Example:  Please bring me a beer on your way back from the port-a-john?

A friend to hug after you have a musical epiphany.

Good hiking boots, and a hammock in which to relax after you use them.

If you are coming with a family and have lots of extra gear but not many hands to carry it all with, then a "Radio Flyer" wagon is a great way to tote the tots and and all their required accessories.

No worries, by the time it gets around to being dark, everyone is so drunk they can't even tell if the light is coming from your headlamp or if Jesus is coming to pay them a visit.  They are especially great for making late-night visits to the porto-pots and making sure you don't sit in anything your mother would yell at you about!

That's about the only time I use a headlamp! LOL
By now I know just about every rock and log in Town Park by name. Wink
I could probably find my way back to camp from downtown blindfolded. Thumbs Up

Hmmmm.  Bein's as how I'm a girl and girls get cold easier than boys, I think the most important thing for me is warm clothes.  I try to dress in layers so that I can go from wearing a wool hat  and ski suit at 5:00am to a bathing suit and flip flops by noon, and then back into the ski suit when the sun goes down.  A huge bonus is wearing your pajamas under your nighttime clothing so you don't have to stumble around drunkenly in your tent, wondering where in the hell you put them and even if you had them, why you can't seem to get them on.    Cheers

Anyone ever use the skier's heat packs for hands and feet?

How about those new 'Therma-Care Heat Wraps' for the cooler evenings?
