Same ole numbers, same old scene, same old tarps running over me...

Seriously tho the modification made to the number line was a great move.  Well done Planet Bluegrass! I would say on my end the number line could not have been smoother and we didn't even get a "good" number til Sunday.

As for the music, it could not have been more amazing.  My mind can't even wrap around how much fun I had.

One more time, THANKS TO EVERYONE at Planet Bluegrass and all of you Festivarians for making this one of the most fun weekends of my life.  Cheers

Nate Grant

Agree with you. The numbers went a lot smoother and hard for someone to poach extra numbers.
An excellent weekend of music. Sam, Red Knuckles, Hillbenders, Aiofe and the Sara's, Del, Dawg, and on..... You know em, you love em!!

DO TELL!

As a longtime Telluride festivarian, I'd love to hear how the tarp lines work at RG.  I'm ALL for improving the way we get our daily spots.

DO TELL!

As a longtime Telluride festivarian, I'd love to hear how the tarp lines work at RG.  I'm ALL for improving the way we get our daily spots.

After the show we'd throw our chairs down outside the gate and wait until after midnight (as late as 3am one year) for them to hand out numbers. They use to have 2,3,4 people handing out numbers from back, middle to rear. Often times if your number was in the upper stratosphere you could get back in line and get another.  I'd seen some people with 4 numbers and still hadn't even got one yet. Sleazy F*ckers!!
The rules have changed. We still throw our chairs down and wait, but... now WE walk thru the venue entrance  to get our numbers. They now mark your wristbands with permanent marker so you can't do a double lap. Obviously if you have a large crew it makes sense to have everyone wait and get a number to better your chances. Spreading out thru the line seems to make sense, as the randomness sometimes doesn't seem to be there. Seems to be a fairer system.

IMHO - The new number line this year was fantastic. I thought it was a much less painful process than in past years.

Kudos to Planet Bluegrass for trying out a new system. Even if this isn't the final process, they're trying to find better ways to do things. Love it.
