Greetings all.

Can someone post what the hours of operation are for the Gondola from Mtn Village during TBF?  Specifically, how early in the morning do they start running?

Thx in advance.

When is the Gondola open and how much is it to ride?

The Gondola is open daily from 7am to midnight, during the summer and winter seasons. Please enjoy the Gondola whenever you would like for free. Pet and handicap cars are also available. The Gondola is closed during the spring and fall off seasons.

When you say "at least" 2:00 AM, are you suggesting that they won't leave you stranded if you're in line before 2:00 AM?  I found staying in MV nice last year, and I'm doing the same this year, but one of my greatest fears is being left stranded in Telluride...

Our experience from 09 is that it opens at 7am sharp.  We had someone give us a ride down earlier in the am, drove the car back up to Mtn Village and rode the gondola down to meet up once it got running.  Worked well.

^^^  This is definitely true.  And if you don't have a car, check with your condo or hotel transportation folks.  They're often willing to give you a ride into town before the gondola starts running.

If you're just looking for a sunshade spot, the 7:00 gondola is fine.  I've done that for years and it's never a problem.  Seems that a lot of the sunshade folks show up at 10:15 and just walk in and set up.  I'm fond of one particular spot for my shade, so I get in line early.  I've also found that if you get there too late, you run the risk of the breakfast burrito stand running out of bacon.  Not cool.

Hey all, I have been perusing this board for a few weeks now.  (lurker alert) adn feel now is a good time to jump in here.

My name is Nate and I am a TBFesti-virgin but have been to Rockygrass and Folks Festival many times.  Apparently I selected a great year to make my first trip to TBF cuz the line-up is unreal (as you all know)

Anywho I have a couple of questions:

1.) I have seen the tarp run thing (which I must admit seems terrifying) and plan to do it Friday at the least, but my question is what time does the music actually start???
2.) Also we have a condo downtown, but I was wondering is it possible to go into Town Park/ Warner and hang out with friends if you are not camping there.  I know there are braclets and such but is this thoroughly watched or might we be able to at least go say hi and have a beer with our camping friends?

Thank you all, each time I check this board I get more and more excited.

FESTIVAL!!!

Nate

1) Thursday - 11:30, Friday and Saturday - 10:00, Sunday - 11:00
2) You can't get into the Town Park campground without a Warner Field or Town Park wristband once the festival starts.
