Hey guys! I got two questions about Meadow Park.
1.) On Sunday (when it opens) is there a line-up to get in or is it pretty casual?
2.) I haven't been to Lyons since last year and I was wondering if the spots near the river are still fenced off. It was a real bummer to the kids  Frown

Thanks so much  Flower

I'm curious as well about the restricted river spaces. We arrive Thursday mid-afternoon, and pre-2014, always found lots of acreage on the ball field (sadly we could not attend last year). Wondering if that is still the case or if the limited river spots have pushed everyone onto the field and made it more "intimate".

I went up on Monday.  There is VERY limited camping near the river and it appeared to be completely taken.  The river area is fenced off/no access for most of the park.  Camping is restricted to the ballfield area. It doesn't appear -- and somebody correct me if I'm wrong -- that there is any access to the river for wading or tubing at Meadow Park  If there is, it's in a really limited take out area near the small rv area closest to the river.

How did the river look? Was the water moving fast? Tubing for our kids?

There is NO access for tubing at Meadow Park although some folks camped near me said you could take out past meadow park.  I don't know about tubing from the festival site...you may be able to put in there, but I don't know where you would get out.
