Had a chance to check out Mustered Courage at a bar by my house in Chicago this weekend.  I was really impressed!  Great songs and playing.  They had a new mandolin player from Nashville (they are from Australia) that has only been playing with them for around 2 weeks.  Talked to them after the gig, really nice guys.  I was trying to describe Telluride to them, and they seemed very excited about the gig.  Was originally planning on doing some hiking Friday morning but may now be changing plans so I can check them out again.  I would do the same if I were you...

I'm clutching my Nightgrass tickets with high expectations.  The old Elks Club floor and walls are going to be bouncing.

Camp Run-A-Muck has a mutual friend with the Mustard Courage guys so we look forward to helping them with poor life decisions.

I liked their performance at the John Hartford Memorial festival, good young band that should fit right in. They have their main stage set up on entree for download. They like moonshine so the crunchy frogs should be right up there alley.

I was really looking forward to seeing them on the main stage this year after an Aussie friend of mine told me about them last year. Unfortunately, their slot is likely going to be the same time as the Band Competition, and I have some friends playing in that. Hopefully Mustered Courage gets an Elk's Park set, because I would really like to check them out!
