Let the fest begin!

URL icon « on: May 21, 2015, 01:11:00 PM »

I remember seeing a post regarding pre-fest activities and the lack of anyone wanting to be responsible for making any concrete plans (totally understandable!!!) but since I can't locate it I thought I'd try this.

Even though there isn't going to be an official schedule, can someone give me a GUESS as to what, where and when the pre-fest stuff happens, like "Bacon Day" and Goddess Walk and Rumballs and Everybody's Birthday Celebration and that kind of stuff?  I just wanna get my camp's rookies some things to look forward to.

Let's talk about the Goddess Walk.  We need to get this settled before we're all too busy packing.

Mmmmmmm, Goddesses......

Oh, uh, back on topic:

So, Courtney, the Queen Goddess, is not coming this year.  Of course Kamp Duk Tape is still happy to host the Goddess Walkabout kick-off party, but we need a new, temporary, Goddess Queen (I almost said "Head Goddess," then thought better of it. Oh, wait, I said it anyway...)

So who wants to step up, pick a start time and coordinate the secret recipe and mixing of the Goddess Juice?  It just won't be Sunday afternoon without the beautiful better half of the Town Park community stumbling around all afternoon!

Generally speaking:

Sunday Afternoon Goddess Parade
Sunday Night New Years Eve at Cascadia
Monday late afternoon at Smugglers Everybody Birthday Celebration ( my creation I might add)
Tuesday afternoon Oyster BBQ at Camp Run A Muck
Tuesday Night Tropical Tuesday
Wednesday Noonish Canabis Cup (as you can imagine the time on this, even the day, is subject to change)
Wednesday Afternoon RUM BAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLS Mash and The Mayor opens the Fest!
General Drunkeness and depravity mixed through out the week, then everything mellows out as the Festival starts.

Disclaimer: these are the events held in the past. This list is in no way intended to be an official schedule, and no one person or camp is obligate in anyway to provide the above mentioned services or activities. And of course, one one especially Hooch, is responsible for anything! Pirate Pirate

I can help in rounding up the Goddesses on Sunday afternoon  Wink

I'll get together the RaM social calendar sometime this weekend. There are still some balls in the air.

You can't forget the potluck at Camp Billy Wednesday evening.
It will be the first without Gretchen, but I'm sure it will be a special one. Flower

When is the memorial for John ?

Saturday night, about 11:30, is the John Wood Memorial Pick. Jeri, from Maple Alley, has the remainder of John's ashes. Those ashes will be given back to the earth on Sunday morning, at a time still to be determined, because, you know... the JWMPick might not be over at sunrise.  Wink

Monday afternoon will also be the newly traditional singer/songwriter event at Camp Run A Muck.  Hippie will be heading this up so I don't yet have a lot of detail but the last couple of years it's been a great time to hear some original tunes from our very own Town Park festivarians.
