Hi!

At the high school, are the campground spots a certain size? Or just whatever is "reasonable"? In the past (elsewhere), we would have the kids (8 & 11) in one small tent and us in a second, barely larger tent... Does that sound do-able and/or reasonable? I'm trying to figure out if I need to invest in a larger tent and cram all of us into it...

Also, we're planning to arrive Wednesday... even if it's not possible to park at the high school, are we able to drive up next to or near where we'll be pitching the tent(s)? Or should we expect a long walk carrying gear?

Thanks!

If you choose a spot on the Southwest side of the field you're close. You may be able to ask the camp host and drive to the North side to load in/ out. No shade so a shade tarp w/ bungees at corners real nice, beware the high winds, bungees good. Space for both tents should be fine so long as you and the Mrs. aren't setting up a couple of cots and a wood burner in a five person tent.  Cheers

I have been camping at the HS the past few years and love it.  There is always plenty of room.  Last year my girlfriend and I used two smaller tents, one to sleep in and the other to keep all of our clothes, gear, etc, no issues.  We were even lucky enough to get a parking spot in the lot next to the campground (I think we arrived around 3 on Wed.).  In past years we did not get a parking spot, but they let you park your car and unpack everything (they don't rush you at all, everyone is super nice) and then once you are done you have to drive up to Mountain Village to park .  I really enjoy the quiet after a long day of music.  I am out cold within 5 minutes of laying down every night.  The showers located inside the HS are also very convenient as is the grocery store across the street (even heard they are renovating for this year).  Cant beat it!  Medal
