Hoping to get my tickets this week - just waiting for the answers to a few queries and also liaising with friends in the area.  Does anyone know if the $50 price for Meadow Park campground holds good even if I arrived on the 10th and stayed until the 17th or is there an additional cost for the extra days?  Thanks!!  :)

Also, I've seen photos of people in hammocks.  Where can these be set up and would I be allowed to sleep in mine (as I prefer them to the ground) or is that not a great idea?!

Traveling all the way from UK for the festival?  Outstanding!  I'm also staying in Meadow Park, and I expect the $50 pass to cover the period from 9 AM on Monday, the 10th, through noon Monday, the 17th, as stated on the PB website.

I expect to arrive Monday or Tuesday and set up camp as soon as I arrive, and break camp the following Monday morning.  I can't speak to the hammock question, though (I've never been able to sleep in one of those things anyway).

With a line-up like this, it's got to be done!!!  Thanks for the info - that was what I was hoping!

Yes Dan is correct. Your meadow park camping pass will cover Monday-Monday.
though Monday thru Thursday is pretty quiet. Many people come and set up tents etc on Monday and then leave and go work til Thursday night when they return for the festival. Personally this is what I will do, though I'll be returning Wednesday night.

As for your hammock question. There are many trees in Meadow Park and technically you likely could sleep in one, but this is Colorado and it still gets somewhat cool at night. Also in case you didn't know there was a flood there a year and a half ago and while they are working on repairing the park it is possible they will not be totally finished and access to the river and/or some of the trees where hammocks usually get set up may not be available.

Either way great decision coming across the pond for our little festival!
I am a Folks Festival/meadow park veteran (This will make yr 7 for me I believe) and my dad lives in Lyons, many other members of my family stay in MP as well and we have a great if not somewhat mellow, time.
Let me know if you have any questions or if you need anything a local can provide. Dan this goes for you too.
Happy Festivating

Thanks for the offer Nate!  I'm hoping to meet with a realtor Tuesday or Wednesday to look at vacation/retirement properties in the area, so I may have more questions than you think!   EEK!

Thanks for the advice Nate!  I do know about the flooding - hope all is going well with repairs and restoration.  I'm used to cool nights.....have slept in my hammock at minus 4 degrees C in November before now....well layered though!!
