If I have to resign myself to not getting to Town Prk ...
how far is Lawson Hill?  What is the shuttle situation?

The shuttle situation is pretty solid - they've been doing it for years and have lots of regular shuttles running to the outlying campgrounds on regular schedules.  They only time you'd wait for a shuttle for more than a few minutes would be at the end of the night when everyone needs a ride at once. 

Lawson would be a healthy bike ride with a day's worth of Festi-gear and would be a bit too far for you to say "hey, I'll just run back to camp and grab another layer."  That round trip could cause you to miss an entire set. 

Take a look at Google Maps and you'll see the sports field near the 3-way intersection west of town, off of Society Drive.  That's the Lawson campground.

But don't give up on Town Park tickets just yet.

It's 4 miles, so it would be quite a hike.

As Bevin said, the shuttles are pretty regular.

Baddawg,

A quick spin to the handy-dandy PB store shows me there is still camping available at the High School.

Unless you're doing some picking after hours, or want to do some drinking, the high school might be nicer for you.

It's conveniently located next to the High School for nightgrassapalooza with Greensky. And it's an enjoyable walk to the festival grounds every day.
