I'm with you on Greensky. Had never heard of them until four months ago, they are now on high rotation at my place, I love them. Salmon? Hmmm, I'm trying but I haven't fallen in love. Maybe I have the wrong CD? What is the best? Thanks

The new CD, High Country, is pretty good, but really, Salmon must be experienced live. Even their live CDs don't capture the experience of seeing them live. And maybe part of it is just being inspired by the setting--as so many are. In truth, I don't listen to their CDs all that much, but their show at the fest is always a must see and has me dancing the night away.

I never heard of Salmon before until I saw them at Telluride . You have to see them live . There cd's are fun : I love the old stuff . Bridges to Bert is one of my favorites . Ask the fish is live and fun to listen to as well . There energy on stage is infectious . I think you will love them live AF. JUST OVER 3 MONTHS OR SO TILL "TELLURIDE"!!

I often jog with "Ask the Fish" on my ipod.  It's really a great intro to what a party these guys throw.

Also, some of hte band is famous for spending the fest in Town Park over at Camp Happy.  Gypsy Moon (including a son of Salmon) also hang there.

Brian did I read that correctly, not sure where that Rhonda Vincent has played for us in Telluride in the past? I do not remember ever seeing her live.

Wow Thanks TTom. I am going to have to search my brain. Where was I? We need a memory jolt. Anyone have a few pics?

Alright, everyone. It’s Tuesday morning; Craig’s on vacation; and there are exactly 100 days until Noam and Stuart kick-off the 42nd Annual Telluride Bluegrass…

I’d say it’s time to share the complete single-day lineup for the 42nd Annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival:
   http://www.bluegrass.com/telluride/lineup.html

The complete single-day main stage lineup includes these final additions:
* Janelle Monáe — The inimitable, award-winning, songwriter, performer, producer, CoverGirl and avant-garde funkstress
* Robert Earl Keen — Legendary Texas singer-songwriter, celebrating more than 30 years in music and his latest album "Happy Prisoner: The Bluegrass Sessions"
* Rhonda Vincent & The Rage — Int’l Bluegrass Music Association's 7-time Female Vocalist of the Year
* Brett Dennen — Beloved Northern California folk-pop singer-songwriter, returning for his third Telluride Bluegrass appearance
* Steep Canyon Rangers — Grammy-winning North Carolina bluegrass band
* Johnnyswim — Folk-soul husband and wife duo from Los Angeles
* Robert Ellis — Innovative Texas troubadour and his virtuosic electric band
* Mustered Courage — Acclaimed Australian bluegrass quartet

(Since I know you’ll all be asking, watch for a NightGrass announcement in early April, followed by a  FirstGrass announcement in May, and Elks Park schedule in early June. We’re busy getting all those sets put together right now.)

Nightgrass in early April Cheers and I have to just keep referring to all this new to me in the lineup this year. I love that, depend on that!  Cheers

What is the cost of night grass typically?  We are on a tight budget planning a head.  Would love to do yonder, greensky, and leftover assuming they all play and are on separate nights.

Nightgrass tix are usually $20 to $35 depending on venues and artists. FYI they are all sold through a lottery and if you don't luck out they can be challenging to get due to smaller venues and high demand. Especially the bands you want to see!!! The last few year's Yonder gets the Conference center on Wednesday night, it's the largest venue and tickets are usually a little easier to come by.

 Cheers

I know they are difficult to come by.  I also have some Chicago Dead and Salmon tickets to trade.
