How cool would it be for Van Morrison to play this year...I know he rarely leaves the confines of Ireland and the UK however if I were to make one epic wish..it would be for him to be one of the Headliners this year...just saying Wave

As one of hte biggest complainers about Ryan Adam's last T-ride show, I would love to give him another chance.

But talk about coming back from a medical problem, I understand that Sharon Jones is more fiery than ever after her bout with cancer.  She just ROCKS and I'd love to see her back again.  It can't be cold even if she plays late at night in T'ride cuz everyone would be heated up from endless dancing!

Going back to Ferg's initial clue to Australian Fan of "I can say that one of the bands we'll be announcing is someone she's very familiar with...", I'm certain that Barry Gibb will be bringing some Saturday Night Fever to the canyon, thereby filling the aging rock-star slot.  Officially, his tour ends in LA on June 4th, but I'm sure that he'll be extending it to share the music of the Bee Gees with us.  Costumes encouraged.

"ha ha ha ha staying alive"

next thing you know someone will mention Kylie!!

come on, there are two options - Paul Kelly has a great new collaboration out and he would be terrific but you know, im really, really, really hoping that Nick Cave comes over. His European tour finishes end May and he is BRILLIANT

As someone who was raised on that era of music, I think this would be most awesome.  I would definitely have to raise a glass in honor of my dear, amazing Aunt Janet, who never met a Bee Gees song she didn't like, and danced to all of them!

Craig,
How about ensuring that someone pays tribute to 50 years of the Grateful Dead.  This community and that community share a lot in common.

Whether you get someone like Joe Russo's Almost Dead, or get The House Band or some other group to bring this music into their set matters not to me, but I would love some sort of tribute to this genre of music.

Nuthin' left to do, but :) :) :)

Couldn't agree more! JRAD would be an excellent choice. They love playing in CO, they are already playing a bunch of festivals this summer and they have the dates of Telluride open. They would absolutely kill it in a late night slot at TBF, let's make this happen  Thumbs Up

Tho I love the Dead, I think a better way for the Fest to honor the 50 years would be to ask each band to play ONE song in a style of their choosing.  Sammy's played some Dead and so has Yonder and Salmon and probably most of the other artists.  I don't need to hear a note-for-note version of a Dead song - I'd rather hear a great interpretation by these fabulous artists.

It's not too much of a stretch for me to say I am wholeheartedly
behind this request LOL
To say that there is an overlap in both in both(TBF,Dead)fan bases music tastes
Is an understatement.
It could be one great set by whomever the Planet chooses to make this work(Nightgrass or Main Stage)
There are at least 6-10 covers each year during the festival. Plus many artists
that we are lucky to see each year who played with Jerry.
Come on Planet Thumbs Up
