Not going to lie, I'm actually pleased Mumford won't be there. Not that I dislike them, I think they're a fine band, but I think the money it would take to hire them could be better spent on three or four better bands.

This "band" is kind of obvious: the "I'm With Her" tour, featuring Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, and Aoife O'Donovan.  These three women have practically grown up on the main stage, right before our eyes.  All three have big open spots on their tour pages in the third week of June.  Here's a link to their performance in Scotland last month.  They start at about the 25-minute mark.  This performance is remarkable for the music, the strong Scottish accent of the host, his distinction in the pronunciation of "Sara" vs. "Sarah", the mention of TBF on the BBC being beamed all over the world, and the newscaster's description of Russian bombers hugging the east coast of Britain at 54:45 (scary stuff that they live with!).  It's worth the investment of a half-hour of listening.

Considering they're going to be at Rockygrass, I doubt we'll get them at Telluride. Quite unfortunate, in my mind. I'd love to see that tour. Reminds me a bit of the Three Girls and their Buddy tour several years ago that made it to Telluride.

Waifs just announced for Folks Fest.  Which, by the way, has a KILLER initial lineup!

You said it Kurt.  That is why the PB (TBF-RG-FF) trifecta is going to be marvelous.  Kurt and I are in.  Who else is coming with us.  Why do 1 Planet Bluegrass festival when you can go to all 3?!

Also speculators, cross referencing the other two festivals would help in your guessing.

Sugar, can you explain the logic? Does TBF pride itself on having a unique line up? Not trying to be clever, I'm just trying to understand. If a band is performing at another festival, are you saying TBF is less likely to book them too because we try to be a bit different? ( which makes sense). Thanks

All three are put on by Planet Bluegrass and the lineups are usually pretty different since they are all close both in location and time of year.  Artists who play both usually play in different configurations, too
