How about adding some East Coast central Virginia (Charlottesville, or once associated therewith) songsters?
Terri Allard
Carleigh Nesbitt and Carl Anderson
John McCutcheon
Trapezoid
Mary Chapin Carpenter

For international flavor:
Mary Black
Battlefield Band
Chieftains

And other favorites on my listening list:
Amy Speace
Lizz Wright
Vienna Teng
Carrie Newcomer (would be great for song writers also)
Mindy Smith
Holly Brook
Peter Bradley Adams
Lori McKenna
Tony Furtado
Duncan Sheik
Richard Shindell
Lucy Kaplansky
Cliff Eberhardt
Julie Wolf
Ben Harper
Lucinda Williams
Hem
Bobby McFerrin
Christine Lavin
Kathy Mattea
Edwin McCain
Ellery
Eliza Gilkyson
String Cheese Incident

Some of these might stretch the "folk" category, but that gets me wondering, what exactly makes a performer or song "Folk Music?"

And can somebody clue me in on camping onsite?  We are getting the camping passes, but what's this about needing to be there early on Thursday to line up for a site?  We are coming from the east coast (Crozet, VA) by way of a wedding in Wisconsin and are kind'a pressed for time.

Thanks!  Can't wait until August!

Given the excellent lineup in place, there is one to these ears that would
make this lineup even better:

Bruce Cockburn

I'll also throw in a vote for Richard Shindell.

And for a wild-card....Levon Helm!!

I'll also happily suggest -- and admittedly biased...

Robyn Hitchcock
David Bromberg -- The man ruled at Folks 2004 and Telluride 2005.
Acoustic Hot Tuna

As it is...this is already a superb lineup. :)
