Bearfoot is playing RockyGrass again this year. You can catch them there!

I saw Jeff Black last night with his trio. good stuff.  They would  be good for Folks.
Jeff is the guy who wrote Same Ol'River, one of Sam Bush's signature songs. He also wrote Gold Heart Locket which I have heard Sam do. Sam and Jeff will be doing  a benefit together next week in Nashville.

any luck getting Sloan Wainwright? How about Tracy Grammer and Jim Henry? Danny Schmidt? I know.. i am repeating myself, but those posts are WAY back in the thread.

Lots of good suggestions.

Tom Waits - yes, yes, yes

How about Kinky Friedman (and the Texas Jew Boys?) - he would not be puttin anyone to sleep!

The subdudes would be a great rock the place out Fri or Sat night gig

Bonnie Raitt - again yes yes yes

Ricki Lee Jones once again

Serena Ryder, I know she's been there recently, but she is a great singer with soul and spirit

David Wilcox had some "Big Fun" on stage with the Hot Rize boys several years ago - Do That One AGAIN!!!

Babba Maal would also tear the place up - very high energy

And - thanks for everything y'all have done already!!!

IMO - Michael Franti is desperately overrated. Spearhead is a youtube alsoran. Maybe evolving beyond the "Somebody Scream!" cheerleading will make MF & SH a band to take seriously.

Thank you! While I respect Franti for his overall messages and off-stage
activities (i.e., visiting Iraq), to me he is far too overbearing on stage!
Bob Marley said the same things far better because he didn't bash you
over the head ad nauseum!  By the time I hear the umpteempth
"HOW YOU FEELIN?!", by that point, my response becomes "LIKE SH*T!!"

Of course, YMWV and different strokes.

Big Smith (Springfield, MO).  They're fantastic.  They put on a great show!   Check out their youtube.

Pieta Brown - make it a family affair with Greg Brown.

John Prine

Arlo Guthrie

I guess with the last two, why not aim high.  You asked, I responded.
