Darrell Scott is listed in Pollstar for the Folks Festival.

And since they apparently won't be at Telluride or Rockygrass, here's one
vote for Railroad Earth!

I have a hard time understanding how circumstances would prevent PB from finalizing (or at least having a few names by now) Folks lineup any more than they do Telluride of Rockygrass. I mean, Folks is a few weeks after Rockygrass and essentially the entire RG lineup has been announced, and most of it has been known for months. But not a single Folks act? I think this says more about the priorities of PB than anything else.

Halesbop, to me it is common sense because Rockygrass and Telluride are the festivals that are the initial draw first, with Folks coming after that.  The fact that there are lotteries now for onsite camping at Rockygrass, let alone Telluride Town Park, should alone indicate the supply and demand that the Folks Festival does not consistently get.

Maybe they're gonna shock us with the killer lineup this time, but based on recent years I'm not expecting it. Which is one reason we didnt order tickets this year.

Yeah.
The longer the wait on a lineup, the less likely I'll (and many others) will be attending.  There are just too many other good festivals out there that have already announced line-ups.  I have to request time off damit.

Another vote for Boulder Acoustic Society!  Their new album with the accordion player is out of sight.  Quite a bit more rootsier than their earlier work!

PATTY GRIFFIN, Tracy Chapman, Chris Pureka, Buddy Miller, Brandi Carlile, Hem, Joan Baez, Martha Wainwright, Nanci Griffith, Neko Case, Sarah Harmer but mostly Patty Griffin! And why does Telluride get sole custody of Emmylou?

I wouldn't complain in Ruthie Foster came back. And if there is a Wainwright family representative I would vote for Sloan

oh.. and to the other Tracy Grammer fans... here Colorado gig is the Indie folk festival in Pagosa which is one I can't get to this year. I can tell I am going to have to work real hard to get hear Tracy and Jim.

Kenny White would be a big hit as would  Kristina Olsen, Jeffrey Foucault, Kris Delmhorst, Peter Mulvey, Karen Sovoca. . .  oh there are so many.. I would think they would all jump at the chance to spend a day or two in Colorado.

hey how about Jorma?  :)

I would second Jorma for sure, but he's playing some Colorado gigs in July:

7/13 - Sheridan Opera House, Telluride (!!!!!!!) - Acoustic Hot Tuna
7/14 - Gothic Theatre, Denver - Acoustic Hot Tuna
7/15 - e-town taping at Boulder Theatre - Jorma and Barry Mittenhoff

Also...Jorma's new album, Stars In My Crown, will be released on March 13th
on Red House Records.  Uncle Earl's Waterloo, Tennessee will also be released that day.   My wallet will take a beating next Tuesday. Wink

Matt Costa
Brett Dennen
Amy Millan
and Sufjan Stevens would be amazing. Wave

Well you will be getting your wish with Brett Dennen.  He is already listed . Its posted on the the next thread up.

(If Antje Duvekot shows up on the list then my whole spring break trip will just about be unnecessary... except for the part where I get to party with friends.)

Well I have just a couple, I would love to see the

John Butler trio! I saw John 3 years ago? at the folks fest, great, great guitar player.

Also Neil Young solo acoustic! I saw him at red rocks, the harvest moon tour solo, it was the best show I had ever been to.  "You may call me a dreamer but I'm not the only one."

Last year Kris Kristofferson was great as well, we had back stage passes and my daughter got his autograph on her guitar, he was great to talk too. Real Melo as you would expect.
