Hello friends,

It's that time again and, with the lottery results soon to be announced, which artists that haven't graced the TBF stage would you like to see play? Looking forward to learning about acts that aren't that well known necessarily but would fit in well on the TBF stage.

For me, I'm still clamoring for the Black Lillies who hail from Knoxville, TN.

And though I don't know their music that well I'm surprised the Wailin' Jenny's haven't played TBF before.

What new artists to TBF and the scene would you like to see?

 Cheers

Dead Winter Carpenters top my list. They're currently touring with Greensky and killing it. They also played String Summit last year and killed it! Great songs, an incredible lead guitar player and one hell of a fiddler to boot. These guys are quickly climbing my favorite touring act list.

I'd also enjoy seeing Fruition at Telluride. They're a hell of a lot of fun!

And those who know me have heard me go on and on about Montana's best band, The Lil Smokies! They'll be heading down to Colorado this January playing venues like Smiggity's in Steamboat, Cervantes Other Side in Denver, The Eldo in Crested Butte, and Fly Me To The Moon Saloon in Telluride. You should absolutely check them out! Their dobro player could hang with Andy Hall and Jerry Douglas no problem. Plus, they were nominated for an IBMA Momentum Award this year!

I would love to see Lil Smokies in Telluride as well. Their amazing!! I've been listening to a lot of Dangermuffin . Really good Americana band . They might fit well in on the Telluride stage . Lets get Mark Knopfler in the mix . His voice would soar through those mountains .

That's what I like to hear! Here's a bonus video. This is the tie breaker from the year The Lil Smokies won the String Summit contest.

And here's a great show by Dead Winter Carpenters! This is the second night of a two night run in Nevada City, California. They start the show off with a whole bunch of Grateful Dead songs before getting into some of their originals.

The Lil Smokies blew the doors off of Steep Ravine in that string off.  Thumbs Up

I would tend to agree. I quite like Steep Ravine, but my enjoyment of their music does not come close to my adoration of the Smokies. I may not live in jamgrass heaven like all you Colorado people, but I am fortunate to get to see The Smokies roughly once a month. I couldn't even begin to count the number of times I've seen them, but it has to be close to fifty.

I am in agreement with the Lil' Smokies and Black Lillies being in the line-up.  I would also like to Parker Millsap, or John Fullbright, OR the Steel Wheels, or Uncle Lucious, all of them!
