I wouldn't mind seeing Jay Farrar with or without Sun Volt.

Not really a guess to the line up.  Just thinking out loud.

I think those have finally died out. I wouldn't bet on him playing this year.

Hopefully, Old Crow as Remedy was my favorite new release in 2014.

Mumford and Sons have yet to tickle my fancy.  Where should I start with them?

I lump them into Avett Bros which I also haven't been impressed with of yet.

Maybe I am just getting too old.

Yep possibly LOL!!

I would say I like them because their vocals are really good and they have a sort of theatrical quality to their arrangements and presence.Lots of punch.
Start from the beginning and just explore. Put your headsets on, pour a cool tall one, close the blinds and just really listen.
Different but Bluegrass just the same. Man that banjo just can command your listen. Sometimes I have to listen more then once before I get something. I mean really, I think I just now get Bob Dylan and wonder where I have been. LOL

I like Avett Brothers a lot, particularly their earlier albums (Mignonette & to an extent Emotionalism) which had a bit more bluegrass than whatever it is their newer stuff has.  Saw them at the Boulder Theater as they were about to blow up, and the energy they had nearly tore the roof off the place.  They're way too big for a venue like that now, but I think they still put on a great show.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a M&S announcement myself.

I LOVE the not knowing bit, it feels like the weeks before Christmas when I was ten. Will it be a Barbie or will it be a sewing kit? Will I love it or feel surprised? And the endless speculation is just so much fun..who is that? What album? Hold on, aren't they touring elsewhere, oh look, they are performing two weeks after TBF only three hours away...maybe....I love it. The final door will be great don't get me wrong but this bit is special and it makes everyone talk to each other....by the way, I called Robert Plant and Mumford and Sons too so I guess that means you owe me a beer...can you please get on my We Want Alison krauss bandwagon? Cause she never tours in Australia and I desperately want to see her. Wishing and hoping sometimes comes true.....
