Let the fest begin!

This is just a guess, but it makes sense.

The Doobie Brothers just released Southbound, a remaking of their greatest hits with a "countrified" sound.  It also features some of country's biggest artists, and that includes at least one (Zac Brown Band) who has already graced the TBF stage.

Given that Johnny Cowan has been their bass player, makes sense to me that the only Doobies at this year's fest might not be the ones in the crowd.

I think it's almost time for some teasers !!. I saw the Allman Brothers on the CMA . They sounded great !!. That would be a great Sat or Fri night set .

I don't think they are touring any more.  Derek and Warren have moved on to their own projects (any of which would be a great fit for Telluride!)

Am looking forward to seeing Trout Steak Revival, especially Bevin Foley on the fiddle. Here's an idea. We can have a new version of the Boomchicks, with Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, Melody Walker and Bevin.

Another guess, based only on the fact that he, just this week, released a new album:  Steve Earle, who always puts on a great show, uses a who's who of musicians to back him up on the new CD.  Gonna listen to it now!

John, what new real ease is out for Steve? I see he has a CD/DVD coming out in February?

Hey Ozzie, the pattern is that Kraus and EmmyLou Harris play on alternating years. Kraus played with the House Band for a few tunes last year, so following the pattern....

Telluride Tom will blissfully happy as soon as the line-up is announced.

I am loving the enthusiasm from the Australian Fan.  So, just to get you even closer to what you will be experiencing in June, here's the link to a video slideshow that I put together from the 40th Anniversary in 2013.  I hope you like it.
