Hi,

I'll be attending RG for the first time tomorrow. After reading all the posts about the tarp run, etc., I'm a little worried about the seating situation.

We don't especially need/want "great" seats (we'll have binoculars and aren't afraid to use 'em) but it would be nice to have a patch of tarp/grass (2 adults/3 kids) to sit in together. If I just show up at say 9am tomorrow and get in line, will we be standing/tarp squatting all day? I'm fine with a spot at the back, but would like a spot.

Should I jump in the car and head up to Lyons tonight for the lottery?

Thanks for any advice.

Matt

Well, clearly my post was a little last minute, so I'm not surprised there were no replies. :-) Figured I'd post an update anyway.

We arrived just a bit too late in the morning to get a number, and figured we would be happy to make of the day whatever happened, when a Festivarian par excellence bestowed upon us number 147. (!) We had a great day.

Looking at where we wound up on the lawn with such a low number, I'm fairly sure we would have been a-wandering without a number (or behind the berm). So next year I think it's going to be a late bedtime for me.

Yeah, we like Jeri, she's a keeper :)

All i know is that if you don't play the game, you could end up like me, having never seen the stage all weekend.
