Hi All,
It's been a few years since I have attended the Folks Fest; can someone please remind me about tents? I know they need to go to the back but do they have to be screened (see thru)?
Thanks! Wave

Anything to reduce your obstructing the view from behind you is preferred.

In my experience, if you have a tent that prevents the people behind from seeing, they sometimes will ask you to go to the back row of the EZup spaces (there usually is one space that faces the stage and another along the river. Along the river there are quite a few spots that won't block anyone's view.

This is referring to inside the festival. Like at Telluride, there is also an area in the back of the grounds for sunshades and the like.

Thank You Billy!! What do you all consider prime camping spot on site. I would like to be by the river if possible. Is there shade there?

AlohaGirl,

The best camping on-site is going to be wherever I am.

Just kidding!  But I am looking forward to seeing you in Lyons!   Cheers

Bevin

(ps - there is shade by the river)

Yes, I'll be there Thursday morning, and am camping on-site.  Very excited, too, as this will be my first time at Folks Fest!  Couldn't make RockyGrass due to being on RAGBRAI but I really wanted to be there this summer so here we go!

Skubes, are you and Nick going, too?  Looking forward to seeing all of my Festivarian family at the Bluegrass Ranch tomorrow!

Riding up with some friends; possibly in a silver Subaru Forester.  I'll probably find you in the vehicle line early tomorrow.

See you soon - so psyched!!

If anything, it would be just me for the day on Sunday.  I haven't made up my mind either way.  But the chance to see you sweetens the pot.  Cheers
