Anybody know what this is all about?  Will the band be performing a whole show or?  1st time to TBF so not sure what all goes on with these workshops.

Thx!

Let the fest begin!

I imagine they'll be demonstrating the complexities of a margarita machine.

Actually, anything goes here.  Punch Brothers did the last couple of Happy Hour sets in Elks Park and put on truly memorable performances.  Expect a very fun event.

Elk's Park is in the middle of downtown, about a 10 minute walk from the fest.  It seats about 200 or so, on the grass, the hill or the structures around it.  You can get there early and sit within 8 feet of the musicians.  The sound is very good there.

Some workshops are less like mini-performances.  Some of the artists will take questions and requests.  Most of the time it's just a very intimate performance.  You really should make time to see one!!

My guess is that this will be a really intimate performance rather than a traditional workshop. I'd expect a lot of people to show up for this one, so be prepared to get there early if you want a good seat out of the sun.

In the past that set has been a Punch Brothers set with an alcohol theme and it's been AWESOME; I sort of assume Greensky will take that same approach to it ... But either way, it is likely to be a strong set on a much smaller stage, so get there early if you're prioritizing it!

That's my thought. In the end, I'll be at John Cowan. He's missed the last several festivals and Greensky comes through Montana about twice a year. Not to mention I'll be getting two sets of them at String Summit next month.

There are no bad options here...and no good ones...if you know what I mean...No matter what you go to, you'll see a great show, and miss another great performance going on somewhere else...so many great bands, so little time. ;-)

No matter how you play it, I like your odds of having an awesome time.
