Just randomly noticed that Jerry and Alison Krauss are playing on Saturday night in Canandaigua, NY and then going to be in Telluride on Sunday for Jerry's individual set in the afternoon as well as both of them in the house band set on Sunday night.  Just speaks to how special the TBF is to these musicians.  Can't wait for this year's fun!!!

I agree.  I'll be seeing them in the second row at the Boston show Tuesday night (just before I fly to Telluride).  I plan on shouting out our appreciation to them for doing this in between songs!

The artists love playing Telluride as much as we love going. That's what makes this such a special festival. It's not just about the music, or the community of fans who travel to see it year after year (though those are both important aspects), it's also about the community or artists. How many bands have gotten their start at this festival? How many musicians have met their musical partners at a picking circle in Town Park and gone on to form bands and play the mainstage? That's how Vince and Drew met. The members of Head for the Hills have been coming to the festival for years even when they're not playing it. It truly is something special.
