I just posted the start of the 2008 Folks Fest lineup to our website:
   http://www.bluegrass.com/folks/lineup.html

Quote
Greg Brown * The Waifs * Tim O’Brien * Todd Snider * Sarah Sample * And many more...

We'll have lots, lots, lots more to add to Folks in the coming weeks and months.

I love the Great Lake Swimmers.  Every time I've seen them they manage to carve a warm summery space out of whatever chaos is going on around them.  It's almost literally transporting.

Mojo magazine calls them "zen Americana" - which seems about right.  There's just something about Tony Dekker's voice and the minimalist vibe of the band.  Every time I play them on the radio I get stunned calls from people wondering who's making this gorgeously atmospheric music.

Here's a youtube video from their last album:

I personally can't wait for this set...

Oh crap!  That tears it.  I simply have to find a way to move to Colorado so I can make more than one trip for great music.  I've been wanting to see Patty live for several years now.

It's hard to know when we'll have single-day lineups.  But I'd guess we're at least a month away...

What, no love for KT Tunstall yet?  Wink
Here's a cool version of her doing the loop thing on one of my favorite guilty pleasure songs:
KT Tunstall - "I Want You Back"

A good one to help get the Friday afternoon boogie goin'...  Cheers

Jumping in on thsi thread despite not attending this but the TBF some weeks earlier. K T Tunstall is a fantastic addition to any festival as you will see. I have been lucky enough to secure her at a small intimate venue back in the Isle of Man and actually have to break away from the TBF to get back in time to run the show! Rock n roll. You wont be disappointed though I am to also miss Amos Lee and Johs Ritter! Fab.It surely incites living in CO all year round?
