Adopt a Troubadour!

One of my favorite T-ride experiences involved helping a seemingly lost troubadour find a home in Town Park.  Louise Mosrie was wandering around TP without a clue of what she was supposed to do.  She had made it to TP with a tent, a guitar, a heart full of songs and no idea of what else to expect.  Paint-Can Timbo stepped up to the plate and invited her into our "Camp Mustache".  We fed her (of course we made her "sing for her supper"!), showed her around, rooted for her at Elk's Park and became real friends.

It's because of that great experience that I would like to volunteer Camp Mustache to adopt a troubadour!  Once I get the info for our adoptee, we will reach out to them prior to the fest to offer any kind of help they may need, whether that be camping equipment, a pre-tarped campsite, a couple of meals, support at the contest or even an extra set of guitar strings.

I know others in TP have had this same type of experience, and would probably volunteer for another round.  All we would need is the contact info for our adoptee when the Troub finalists are announced.

PB - how does this sound to you?  Will you help us help the Troubs?

You're about 3 months early.

We won't even know who the troubadours are till early May.

To make things easier on both PB and the Troubs, I am volunteering to collect contact info from any camps who would be interested in the Adopt-a-Troub-a-thon.  Once the list is put together, I'll send it to PB and they can include it with their info packet that they send out to the Troubs.  That way the musicians can decide whether they'd like our help or not.

Kamp Duktape has hosted Troubadors in the past and is always willing to take on any Troubador(s) willing to camp.  We already know one prior Troubador who is hoping to return and whom we are hoping to host again. 

These amazing solo musicians usually arrive in Telluride like deer in the headlights.  Give them a home for the week if you have a chance and you'll be very glad you did.
