One fest and we get Brandi, Tift, and Aoife! We'll be in heaven....like every other year.
Well done, Planet. Incredibly well done.

Every time I say, 'Aoife', I get a big silly grin.   Thanks, planet!

Definitely surprised to not see Punch Brothers on the preliminary lineup. Hopefully they'll be a late addition.  Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I wouldn't be too surprised if they weren't on the lineup this year. Especially if I'm correct in one of my predictions for a future lineup announcement.

Yes, Punches are notable in their absence, as is Nickel Creek reunion and Thile with ANYBODY.  I'm thinkin' a NC show would be a HUGE addition to the existing lineup

Also missing is that Saturday night "outside the box" headliner.  You know, like David Byrne, Dispatch, New Orleans Social Club, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Edward Sharpe, etc.  It's always TOTALLY unexpected and always interesting!

This is the preliminary lineup after all. More to come. Would be a surprise not to see Chris Thile there. I mean, Jerry Douglas isn't listed either, and it's hard to imagine him not being there. You figure they'll have the House Band, and how do you do that without Jerry? But who knows; maybe the House Band wants a year off. Hopefully it's just a given, so why bother listing in the prelim lineup?

WOW! I've been waiting for this for the last couple of days! And PB has delivered, but what would be expect?? So happy to see Greensky, Yonder, Leftover Salmon with Payne, Rowan, and Keller with the McCourtys! I like the blend of bluegrass styles so far, can't wait for the real surprises in the coming weeks! Thanks for a great lineup thus far!! Yeew! Medal :)

I also love that Billy Payne will be there. His surprise guest spot with Salmon in 2012 is one of my fondest memories and the nightgrass they played together at the Palm is one of the best shows I've ever seen. Now we just need to get the rest of Little Feet there!

Having Mr Cowan back will be fantastic. I like the "friends" spot as that leaves the door wide open for  Darrell Scott to join him. Their set together in 2008 is one of the reasons I fell in love with this festival.

And while I absolutely adore the Del McCoury Band, I really like getting to see his boys let loose and forget the rules of traditional bluegrass for a while. Keller will help them do just that!

Damn, this is a good lineup!

Amen to that! Glad Greensky has been on the bill the last couple of years, I know the Punch Bros will end up here and the Stringdusters! It's gonna be a good summer

I was lucky enough to see The Lone Bellow a few months ago, and Telluride is in for quite the treat. Their harmonies are tough to top, and they LOVE performing. This band fits in perfectly with the Festivarian atmosphere.

 Cheers Cheers Cheers

I listened to that Lone Bellow album a couple of times, and it did nothing for me.  But hey, if everybody else likes them, that means the restaurants will be less crowded during their set. Wink

I have to say I must stop myself from searching for additional announcements. Better left as a forgotten wrapped gift under the couch not to be opened until completely fed up with cold and snow! LOL
