In advance of tomorrow's preliminary lineup announcement, here's one last advance "leak" -- this one being an artist making his Telluride Bluegrass debut with us this June...

A virtuosic fiddler (and whistler!), great singer, and fascinating songwriter, we've loved Andrew's solo show (with live looping) ever since he played the Folks Fest back in 2006.

Then a year ago he approached us as he began putting together an old-timey quartet (performed around a single microphone) with the great singer/songwriter Tift Merritt (who herself played TBF in 2008).  It's gorgeous stuff that will find a very welcome home in the box canyon...

We're very excited to welcome to the 41st Telluride Bluegrass:

Andrew Bird & The Hands of Glory featuring Tift Merritt

Here are a few live videos to get you excited:

 Woo hoo

I LOVE Tift Merritt--as I told her after a recent show here, "criminally underappreciated"!!

Keep those hits coming!!

Thank you!! Love everybody who has been announced so far!

I've seen him once before & it was a great show, but the addition of Tift Merritt should be divine!taples

This will be a killer set! I really liked Tift Merritt's set in 2008 and I've been wanting to see Andrew Bird for a long time. I don't know much of his stuff, but everything I've heard I've really enjoyed. I didn't realize he has played Folks before . . .

This is shaping up to be a nice preliminary lineup so far! The "leaks" have been great, I guess the full lineup will be an ocean then! I have only heard of Andrew Bird a few times, but I have loved everything I have listened to or seen. Plus you gotta love the one-microphone setup! Not only is it economical, but it just seems to make everything sound better!  Wave Yeew!

They already released it, there is only 6 bands on the docket this year.   LOL    They must be making some last minute alterations.

When you think about it there are probably 6 different musicians they could pair up / mix & match in different combinations to create a full lineup (for at least a couple days anyhow).
