Did you get to talk to him Brian. What is he like? 
Many times the persona on stage can very from the actual person. Just curious....

Hey Miki-  I was fortunate to spend some time with Shane and the band throughout the weekend and they were a total joy to be around.  They were warm, gracious, funny, and so appreciative of the details of the festival - Jacob's banjo art, the quality of the food, the festival posters, every other artist onstage, the kindness of the Festivarians. At one point after their first CD signing, Shane and the band stopped in their tracks as they saw a little boy and his mother reunited after being separated for a few minutes - it really had an effect on all of them.  I could tell right then, that as with their music, they experienced life deeply... Good folks.

His words and stories are powerful. To have them delivered via musical spoken word was so fresh, unexpected and pleasing for me. Shane's CD was the only CD I bought at the festival and I'll probably leave it in my car for a a few weeks. He makes me want to write poetry! Whoever was responsible for booking him, thankyouthankyouthankyou.

Saturday was such a beautifully curated day. An immediate thought I had after the Koyczan set (which left me laughing through empathetic tears) was, "Well, that's the perfect emotional lead in for Patty. Perfect."

  Power Lineup in my books Im sorry to have missed it and glad that he had an impact on folks, good and bad, I think that is the point in a sense. To talk, roll around and think about what he is actually saying rather then dismiss as background noise.

Can I work for the Planet. I want to be you B man. Rich in perspective he is and I bet he is one very interestingly deep folk. Good stuff! OK that sounds like bad English but you know what I mean Rich in perspective
