I'm sure this question has been answered before here, but I can't find a search button for these messages. What's the normal, allowable tarp size these days? There are only 3 of us, but just want to make sure before we buy one.

I went to REI today.  All of their generic tarps were substantially larger than 5x7.  However, they have a section of tarps that are designed to match the footprint of their tents, and it turns out that the tarp for the Camp Dome 2 is 4.5 feet by 7 feet.  It also has sturdy sewn-in tape and grommets at the corners that allow for secure staking.  Should last for dozens of festivals.
