Their website shows them free from June 15 - June 28.  I think this would be a more fitting replacement than what others have been posting so far.  Hope Ted recovers quickly.

If their schedule is that wide open, then there's probably a darn good chance.

It may be their only opportunity to make up for the complete lack of fire they brought to the main stage 2 years ago. Just sayin'...

Nah, it's not that, really. RRE was one of my top 3 must see sets of 2 years ago actually. Check out the set and compare with last years LOS pure fire extravaganza to see the difference in "taste".

I know many people enjoyed RRE 2 years ago. I've enjoyed many recordings of great sets by them as well. It's just that 2 years ago was not one of them, IMO.  Cheers

Personally, While I feel for M and S and their fans and wish Ted Dwane nothing but the best in his recovery, I am much bigger fan of RRE! Won't jynx it but that would pretty awesome. We'll have to wait and see but I am 100% on board with that.

I am with Sunnyand70 - they are one of my favorite bands hands down but 2 years ago just didn't do it for me. On a stage where they should of thrived they through down a lackluster performance with low energy... Even their SOH that year was subpar. If they fill in for M and S they best bring it and make up for 2 years ago and I believe they can and will if given the opportunity! Perhaps throw Nershi and Andy Hall in there with them - at the Ogden in January they killed it with them! Love me some dobro.

I've seen them quite a few times and like any band they can have an off night, but in my opinion their off nights don't happen very often.  I most recently saw then in February and they were on fire -- two nights in a row.

I support a RRE in Telluride!

RRE is headlining their first Red Rocks show this summer as well as a smaller venue in Boulder I believe. While I would love to see these guys in Telluride I am doubting they will want to play another Colorado show.
