I've heard some people talking about Paul Simon and even though I think it would be pretty unlikely, if it he did come I would hardly be able to control myself! That could quite possibly be the coolest thing to ever happen!!!! I would hope for a Leftover Paul Simon Sam Bush Incident!!!!!!!!!!!!!

move string cheese to the late show Thumbs Up

The only issue I would have with that is it would almost certainly dissappoint my Wife who is looking forward to Peter and String Twang and FMTTM

I expect a pair of NG tickets for that show would suddenly become available

I would LOOOOOVE a Cheese Headlining Show, or a Cheesy Salmon, and heck if some of the greensky boys wanted to show up, I wouldn't complain  :bubbles giggle 3 fave bands on the same stage, hmmm, let me think about this one :)

And love the earlier suggestions of Paul Simon and OCMS too Wink

Much Love and Healing to Ted Dwane of Mumford.  Was really looking forward to their show <3

Wilco!

Would like to see it, but don't forsee it happening, they have their own festival (Solid Sound) in MA on 6/21-6/23.  If they bring in another act, at this point my money is on either The Lumineers or Old Crow.  If they decide to go "in-house" the options are endless - Emmit/Nershi, Bush/McCoury, Nickel Creek, etc.

Paul Simon isn't even touring right now.  Not sure I see any chance of him getting his band together and showing up at Telluride in a week.

I vote RRE as a likely reasonable option. That being said, Dark Star is in Boulder on Fri the 21st. Further seems to have the 20th off as-well. Some sort of Further, Phill, Dead inspired gathering would be very welcomed and appropriate.
This is kind of fun, they should have a surprise headliner every year announced right before.

In the spirit of TBF and being its their BIG 40, I'd really LOVE to see Nickel Creek take the stage that evening! Flower Thumbs Up

I also hope it is not a reshuffle of the lineup. Mumford was certainly the mainstream band of the weekend. I hope someone big is announced soon.

^ yes. Nice choice. I was thinking similarly but more along the lines of The Flecktones..with Jeff Coffin and Howard Levy...everyone has that date available..according to websites. I loved that Mumford was playing...sad not to see them...but the Flecktones have more musical history in this canyon. A nice 40th anniversary reunion.

I would obviously love to see Phil/Bob/Furthur/Allmans/Paul Simon/James Taylor, etc..

But realistically, I think its next to impossible for PB to book such talent with a little over a week's notice. (But, hey, you guys should still try!!! Wink )

That being said, it would be cool to find a couple really good jazz musicians to come up and jam with Bela. Not enough Bela on the ticket this year.

Wow..there's so little time.

A more prominent spot for Cheese and/or Yonder, and maybe cheesy salmon nightgrass.

REK would be cool.

RRE -- of course - they're a great band! Looks like their schedule is open.

Alison Kraus - nice idea!

David Byrne -- he's touring so the band is together.

It's going to be tough because time is so short.

Isn't that basically the House Band? I'd think a New Grass reunion would be more apropos.
