Hey folks,

This will be my wife and I's first TBF. We are flying in and I was wondering if there are places where I can rent some festival equipment: shade tent, chairs, maybe a couple of bikes for the week.
Should I just check craigs list?

Bike rentals in Telluride

I'm not sure if they rent other equipment but it doesn't hurt to ask.  Cheers

If you are flying into Denver or a place where there is a REI, they rent equipment such as tents, sleep pads, stoves, sleeping bags and such.  Not sure about chairs, but there is also the free bin in Telluride that you may be able to grab some goodies.

The town hardware store always has plenty of fairly inexpensive chairs, tarps , etc. to purchase.

Thanks for the info!

I think I have the chairs figured out.

We are flying into Montrose, so I think I will try to find a cheap shade tent there.

If your not camping, you might be able to approach some fellow festerians and "borrow" some shade from there shade tents for a bit of time during the day...

Yep I would say that shade is no problem if you don't mind sitting in an empty shade tent while the owners are away. Or join in and make new friends, But independence is good and I can relate (one year someone left with our tarp, you are no one with out a tarp LOL)so if you want you can pack up your stuffnice and tight and ship it Tride. I say float that boat, empty chairs abound, smile, dance, buy a round stay awhile and dance to another. Good fun.

I don't hit that Walmart much anymore but when we did years ago they never did have low back chairs

There's a Sports Authority on the very southern edge of town. That's where we've gotten tents, chairs, lanterns, tarps, etc... They may have more of the selection you would need for a good Telluride!!! There's also a Murdochs, but they may not have all that you need.....

Also, I would go ahead a see about renting a Kelty for yourselves. You all will need the shade while you're there. If you want some sun time on a tarp, ya'll are welcome to join us on ours!!  Flower
