Hi there, I am a Warner Field newbie.  So, does anyone know if there is some sort of land rush for Warner?  Do people camp out and line up the night before it opens for a land rush?

People do get there and line up for a rush.  Depends what spot you really want though....corner...away from the baseball field...along the fence.  You will be fine if you don't get there super early, but if you have a large group it would be helpful.

thanks, although I am looking for a little more info than that.
My friends are talking about waiting in line the night before to insure they get the spot they want.
I am usually against that, as no spot is that important.  So, I was curious if other people do that and what time people usually get in line

That link Tom provided does give you the eventual line procedure- click on the PDF in the Warner Field section of the link. In the PDF you will see that the first few lines address the question of the line procedure. Yes, there is a line, pedestrian only, etc.

Here is the link: http://www.bluegrass.com/telluride/TBF13-WarnerField-CampgroundLoadIn.pdf

Yes, some people do get in line the night before to scope out their traditional locations

There is no bad spot in Warner Field. Flower Really.  The older camps try to lock in a spot together so some jockey for position early. The nature of all fests and real estate. But you could not ask for a better camping spot so never fear. Get there, smile and folks will help out to make it your home too.  Medal

You won't have a problem if you get there early Wednesday morning...say .6 -7 am before they open Warner field. There are plenty of spots and there is no "land rush" merely and land walk.
