Holy Sh*t!  A "VERY reliable source" just told me that the boys from Vermont are coming!  Yes I mean Phish!  Apparently, they decided that they weren't about to let String Cheese headline TBF's 40th Anniversary... In Phish's opinion, SCI has already ruined too many Bluegrass Festivals and has decided to step in and save the day.  Good thing, because my plan was to either eat a steak dinner during SCI's set (if they played) or simply go to Ouray and drink beer at Mr. Grumpypants Brewery....

ROMEO:    I dream'd a dream to-night.

MERCUTIO:    And so did I.

ROMEO:    Well, what was yours?

MERCUTIO:    That dreamers often lie.

You will change your opinion on how "reliable" that source is once this is NOT announced. No way will Phish be at the 40th....just sayin'

Sir Paul McCartney would be good. But the Rolling Stones doing an acoustic set would be better. And Telluride Tom still thinks they have the Hell's Angles for security, so that possible threat should free up some tickets. It might take up all of the Planet Bluegrass budget for the next ten years as well.
All of the bands who will be playing at TBF 40 will be good! Too bad you can't see them all.

you may not be that far off my friend. He was just announced to headline Bonnaroo the weekend before telluride. fingers stay constantly crossed till announcment.  Wink
and keith richards would die in tellurides altitude. guy smokes 20 packs of un filtered cigs a day and needs a lung transplant once weekly to keep breathing.  LOL

Fans like you are the reason I hope Phish will stay far a way from TBF, why are you guys always so negative about every other band except Phish. Negativity and Telluride do not mix. Can't we all just get along?

Hey, wait there guy.  There is absolutely no negativity/reality allowed on this board at any time.  Everything is perfect in this world, and the Eagles are the best band to have ever graced this planet.  You can have a steak dinner in the VIP section while SCI is playing, and Bobby Mcferrin can crap in your mouth for desert.

Maybe there's just a lot of bitten tongues and repression ... then again, it's easier to get a straight answer here vs. what typically passes for dialogue @ phantasytour.com.

I agree, it may be easier to get a straight answer here as opposed to PT.  However, filtering through all the depravity and obnoxiousness is 90% of the fun.  PT is my internet equivalent to Graceland.  Release the line-up already Ferg!

If the price of getting Bobby McFerrin to play TBF with another awesome performance is a crap in the mouth, I think we should have a lottery.  I like my 1:10,000 odds.

I have a feeling the festival organizers are greatly entertained by the wild speculation, whining, and "inside information" being posted to this forum (I know I am).  They might be holding back the rest of the lineup just to keep this source of entertainment!
