Greetings Festivarians!

We've been busily getting ALMOST all of the lineup ready to release for the Winter Solstice this Friday.  Boy, the artists are looking forward to it this year! Woa!

And we're pretty jumpy around here to. And, from the three hour ticket sell-out for four days, you guys seem pretty excited to!  Sorry about that. We've been preparing for ten times the capacity each year lately and its still leads to frustration.  Guess we could book a crappy show or raise ticket prices, but I'm hoping that the frustration has died down and everyone is looking forward to the big XXXX.

Hard to believe that last year's festival is closer in time than next year's.  Gonna be a lot of waiting!!!

Anyway, touching base here and letting you know we're not doing any more sneak peeks behind doors, with requisite scrolling, until the lineup announcement on Friday.

We're excited by the artist coming this year; and, like I said, we'll be announcing nearly all the artists performing.  It'll look pretty familiar, Sam and the folks that come every year, doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out Emmy is coming.  Probably less "new" bands this year, on account of the anniversary was just too hard to say no to all the great artists that wanted to be part of it.  There will be some though.

And, while we still have a couple bands to figure out that we can't announce Friday, we also have a couple bands that we very much know are coming, but we aren't going to announce just yet.

Either of these two bands could sell out Red Rocks by themselves, so we're kinda keeping them quiet for now until the few remaining tickets are gone, we've gone back and forth on this particular debate and I guess, by a whisker, we've decided to try and sell the single day tickets to those wanting to come to see "The Festival", rather than a particular act.

I can say that no one buying a Thursday ticket will be disappointed and don't let the scalpers get 'em!  But not saying any more on that!  Evil

So, anyway, standbye for the preliminary lineup on Friday.

Thanks everyone for all you support, know that we're working to make it a really great year for everyone.

In the meantime, Merry Christmas to All!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ferg

Ferg,

On behalf of Flat Larry, I'd like to thank you and Planet Bluegrass for the Merry Christmas Wishes. Right back at ya! I think we can announce now that Flat Larry will be makiing the trip to Telluride this year. His last trip was for the 30th and he wouldn't miss the ten year anniversary of Ron's Red Thong! Thumbs Up However I must announce that he will only be signing FLAT objects! Cheers

Who could we be getting? Maybe SCI? They could sell out Red Rocks on their own and I imagine they'd love to be at the 40th with the history they've got with TBF. Maybe Neil Young? Or a return of Robert Plant? Willie Nelson? Dare I dream . . . Further? Or even better . . . A New Grass Revival Reunion!?!?!? I can't wait to find out who all is playing.

Any of the above would be great, but SCI or Neil are good guesses based on the info & knowing the history of the ill fated failed Buffalo Springfield show in Telluride ... or at least these guesses which I'm hoping for!  Giving festivarians a chance to get tix for the *festival* (and not the band) might indicate one of these acts has a "following" ... which both cheese & neil both do.

Unfortunately, just selling out Red Rocks doesn't quite narrow it down too well ... especially in today's bizzaro world scene where Pretty Lights can sell out multiple days there within minutes.
