...you shouldn't worry too much.  There are always folks selling their extra 4-day passes on the Weds/Thurs of the festival.

Last year there were bunches.  This year, I bet there will be even more.  It's a by-product of folks having to commit to tickets 6 months in advance.  Conflicts arise and plans change in between.

If you are in Telluride on the eve of the fest, you can get any tickets you want.  That is, unless the email ticket option changes that this year.  Not sure about that.

True story.  I saw many many tickets being sold waaay under face as early as Friday morning last year. 

That said, it's not a super smart move to show up without a ticket.  There are many resources here to make that happen in the next 7 months.

That was the case last year as I purchased 2 - 4 day passes for $100 each on
Thursday afternoon.  One at the Saloon in town and one at the entry to the festival.
