Greetings Festivarians!

In honor of the November Full Moon, the "Frosty Moon", we think its time to get this party started.

Shall we?

Yes,  its time to begin one of our favorite annual traditions.

Yep, the annual "teasing of the Festivarians".

So, without further adieu.....

A little information on YOUR XXXX Telluride Bluegrass Festival.....

Ready for this?

I've told you before, but this just can't be highlighted enough....

Yes, appearing at the fortieth annualTelluride Bluegrass Festival.....

will be.....

any guesses?

a little scrolling would only be appropriate.......

OK, here ya go, - I mean ya just can't hire this stuff:

On, Thursday, the opening day of the fortieth, at 11:04 p.m. Mountain Standard Time, just as Thursday's closing band head's for their encore.... the moment of summer solstice occurs; but... don't say yet!!!!

For, on the final day of The Festival, June 23, at 5:33 a.m., the moon becomes "full", the "Strawberry Moon"....

Think there'll be any howling Saturday night, hmmmm???

Really, ya just can't make this stuff up.

Oh, my....

Not sure how that can be topped...

Oh, yes!  Of course!  With music!

While tickets go on sale in a week, the preliminary lineup won't be posted until the winter solstice on December 21.

But, I wouldn't expect anything particularly special.  What with the full moon, the solstice, the fortieth annual and tickets selling faster and faster every year lately, it would just be kindof financially irresponsible to just completely STUFF THE LINEUP. Just wouldn't be the Planet Bluegrass Way.

Would it?

 Evil

P.S.

But, fear not!  Because the annual teasing of the festivarians is such a delight, and because we get every bit as excited as you guys do, we will reveal a few tidbits before releasing the preliminary lineup on the solstice, starting with revealing what's behind door number two in the next couple of days.....

Alrighty, then.  We are now under way.

• Full Strawberry Moon – June This name was universal to every Algonquin tribe. However, in Europe they called it the Rose Moon. Also because the relatively short season for harvesting strawberries comes each year during the month of June . . . so the full Moon that occurs during that month was christened for the strawberry

OK folks there are hints to the line up comin our way. This does drive me nuts and PBG knows it. Big teasers! Gosh I love all of you. You make life so fun Flower

Hmmmm are there clues in Fergs post? huh

Maybe the entire house band plus guests on Sat night for the full moon?  I vote for a 40 person clusterpluck in honor of TBF 40

The Alogonquin tribe is from the Ontario Canada region, and a Strawberry Moon could be thought of as a type of Harvest Moon.  I'm probably just jumping to conclusions but I'm hoping for the horse.
