Hi, everybody,

First-timers to the Folks Fest this year, and we have a few questions about the camping line policy. We have on-site camping passes and will be driving up from Denver. I've read through the line policy a few times, and want to clarify the process:

It sounds like you need to leave your car in line after you get your number. There's two of us - let's say we both drive up on Sunday afternoon and park one car... somewhere... while we take the other car to get in line. Get the number, then leave that car in line and drive home in the other car. Then, come back on Thursday - again, park that car... somewhere... - get back in the car in line and secure our campsite. We need to be at work in Denver for most of the week, so we'll need to leave the campsite (with both cars) after setting up on Thursday night and come back Friday afternoon/early evening.

Whew! Hope that all makes sense - trying to get things straight in my head so we can organize and plan. If anybody out there would mind confirming that yep, that's how things work (or not), that would be great.

Thanks, guys - much appreciated - and we can't wait for the fest!

i posted relatively the same question as a newbie to this:  whether you can leave your car (or in my case camper) in line and leave or if you need to camp with it all week. . .

thanks!!

YES, you can leave your vehicle (it does have to be a vehicle) to hold your spot in line for the Thursday load-in. Please be sure to be back to your vehicle in line by 4:30 on Thursday to make sure that you are ready to go.

It is $10 per night to leave your vehicle. If you arrive and there isn't anyone from the Planet to collect money, please park your vehicle in line and they will hold your spot and settle up with you on Thursday.

Hope that helps! Jasmine

I am looking for a local resident we can pay $150 to park their car in line for us from Sun-Thurs morn.
we live out of state and can't see using a weeks vacation to just sit there in a parking lot.

This all sounds completely insane.  I can't believe people are getting there days ahead of time.

We are planning to camp and we can't get there until Thursday late morning.  Does this mean we we will have to take some horrible place like next to the toilets.

Why are people getting there so early and what does this mean for people who can't get there until Thursday.

i'll be honest.  i went last year, after work in denver, thursday night and my dear sweet affable husband had to sweet talk a group into letting us sandwich into a spot.  by the evening the whole on-site lot was jam packed.  it is totally insane, i agree.
