1 unique artist from each of the first 39 festivals

Yes. Someone like PAT FLYNN? Just sayin'  Flower  Maybe he could bring Michael Martin Murphy along...and maybe he'd sit in with some other guys...a sort of revival kinda thingy...would be cool!  Cheers

Michael Martin Murphy ! I can still see him with his huge guitar and lookin so cowboy. He would be great. What year did he play do you remember?

Yes, yes and yes!  They'll be coming to NE Ohio next month.  I'm not going to miss them.

yeh, i feel the same sugar...
warren haynes band or warren solo would be nice fit Cheers

Warren's support players at his "solo" show this Thursday are Tim Carbone, Jon Skehan, Andy Goessling and Andrew Altman (of RRE). I could see that group fitting in nicely at TBF, and I would love to see it happen.

And David Crosby, too. That's going to be a great show.

This is a terrific line up!!!! I have my eyes and ears on Warren he has infected my brain with his stiff rippin solos and his voice. I think he is just the jolt needed for TBF. Medal

Has PB or anyone on this board become hip to The Black Lillies yet? Another guy on this board got me into them, but they are great. Wonderful mix of country, blues, folk, rock and excellent excellent songwriting.  I highly recommend checking them out and lobbying for them to be at any PBG event.

There latest album can be streamed and downloaded for free here:

http://theblacklillies.bandcamp.com/album/100-miles-of-wreckage

Shows can also be listened to over at archive.org....they are playing all over CO in November - including a stop in Lyons on November 9th.....no excused PB, get over there!

After listening to the Dusters' set from Targhee yet again, I really want to see these guys close out a night at Telluride. They are sounding great right now!!!

Giant Sand.  Saw them last night, and at Hardly Strictly.  Musically diverse, and those guys can jam.

Speaking of The 'Dusters...got to The Festy this year - two favorite new band take aways;
-Floodwood and Whitehorse.

Also, I'll say it before and again but Toubab Krewe (pretty pretty please  Flower )

Two random non-"bluegrass" acts that could be killer;
-St. Vincent & David Byrne (weird as Bryne's set was at 36, I feel like the general consensus was it was pretty enjoyable)
-First Aid Kit, finally got to see them at ACL. Those girls can bring a great show great for some hippie dancing!

(and everything else said by everyone else on the forum...can we turn TBF into a 24/7 festival yet? Not like we're not already there for at least a week...)

I would walk from the Puget Sound to Telluride if Emmylou Harris and Mumford & Sons would get up on stage and play the same set that they did earlier this year on CMT's Crossroads. Outstanding harmonies and arrangements, wow

Also, Carrie Rodriguez. Emmylou redux with a fiddle

David Byrne's set was great.  I'll never forget the all white suits & the backup dancers.  When was the last time before or since there have been backup dancers up on stage?  (Boomchicks not included)

recently downloaded a St. Vincent/Byrne show off co tapers that was pretty good.
