You've been able to mind-meld with Craig, haven't you?  This is the PERFECT way to celebrate an anniversary.  Good call, Huck!

Would love to see:
Hot Rize
Crooked Still
Strength in Numbers
Sierra Hull
Tony Rice
Nickel Creek Reunion
AKUS (Have to agree w/the consensus this year though.  Their set was rather boring.  Would LOVE to see them IF they spiced things up or play w/ Tony again.)

Like your choices here Dayton, and bring Shannon Whitworth Back To Telluride!  Also, how about some of the ladies such as Alison Brown, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Shawn Colvin, etc...who were in the annual rotation a few years back.  Let's diversify! But most importantly bring the Dusters back, and love the RG winning band Front Country? out of the Bay area.  They appear to be seriously talented, so anxiously waiting their set in future years at Tride!

I've been holding off on my first of what is sure to be many posts here, but I can't any more.

Willie Nelson - Please please please please bring Willie Nelson back! I would absolutely LOVE seeing him in Town Park, especially if he got there early enough to be a guest judge in the Town Park Cup!

Darrell Scott - It's been too long since he's graced the Telluride stage, even if he played in 2011. Set him up with a solo set, a full set with his band, a set with his brothers, a set with John Cowan and Pat Flynn, a workshop, a nightgrass show, a firstgrass show and anything else he would want to do.

New Grass Revival reunion - This would be the perfect set for the 40th. Bring back the band that not only helped make this festival, but changed the way bluegrass is played.

Pat Flynn - If NGR won't be happening, at least bring Pat Flynn back.

John Cowan - If he's too busy touring with The Doobies, then book the Doobies. The 40th needs his voice.

Pert Near Sandstone - One of my favorite up and coming bands right now. I love these guys!

Little Feat - Seeing Billy Payne with Salmon was a dream come true. he fit in so well with them, but I'd still like to see him bring Little Feat into the canyon.

Leon Russell - One of my all time favorite song writers. Getting him there would be great. Especially if he brought out the New Grass boys or Willie Nelson (We need a fingers crossed emoticon) to play with him.

White Water Ramble - I love these guys. Such a high energy group of musicians.

Leftover Salmon - I know they were here this summer, but I feel like a band that is such a big part of this festival's history and vibe deserves to be there for the 40th.

Railroad Earth - I love these guys so very much. One of my favorite jam bands out there.

Steve Martin and SCR - The banjo has been moving up my favorite instrument list this year, and Steve's one of the best there is.

Pyscho Grass - As mentioned in another thread, I was disappointed in the Mike and Edgar set, but i'd love to see Mike come back with these guys and play some hard hitting bluegrass.

David Grisman - Bring the Dawg back to the canyon. Watching him and Sam tear it up on stage would be too much fun.

String Cheese Incident - Man would I love to see these guys play the Fred Shellman stage. Another group I've still not seen (they rarely make it up to MT anymore)

Robert Plant - He looked like he had so much fun last year, I wouldn't mind getting him back again. Especially if he brought the Band of Joy back with him. Such a great group of musicians and I loved how humble Robert was when playing with them.

Ricky Skaggs - It's been too long. I loved his set with Bruce in 2008, and I'd love to see him show up again.

I'm sure I'll come up with more, but this is it for now.

I warned you I wasn't done yet . . .

Tony Furtado - It's been five years since I first attended and no sign of Tony yet.

Hot Rize - I was surprised when they weren't on the line up this year. They've been doing every other year since I started attending.

Darrell Scott - Yup. He's on my list again.
