For what it's worth, my son told me he would have given up the entire festival for the Edgar Meyer/Mike Marshall set. 

It was also one of my favorite sets. I like the variety of music they explore together including European dance forms and Choros.

Yonder on the main stage (I thought this set far surpassed their main stage from last year - great new song by Dave!)

I missed most of Bela and Marcus Roberts in favor of the entire Doc Watson set which was brilliant. My wife left that early and had a nice front row tarp spot for the last couple of Trio tunes and I thought they were really awesome. Can't wait to catch them in November.

Lowlights include:

Laura Marling - What a snoozer. Oh, except when her road crew woke me and everybody at the high school up at 3 in the morning and wouldn't shut up. Question: Do you really need to drive your tour bus over to the High School?? Then leave it parked and running while your roadies go ballistic on the innocent??  RUDE!!

Overall a great festival!! On paper, I'd say the lineup was better last year but actually, I enjoyed this year more - probably due to other factors. Can't wait til 40.

For what it's worth, my son told me he would have given up the entire festival for the Edgar Meyer/Mike Marshall set.

I think my problem with this set was that I had never seen Mike Marshall and I'm a big fan of PsychoGrass, so I was looking forward to some exquisite bluegrass mandolin. If I had seen Mike as many times as I've seen Edgar, I probably would have enjoyed it more.

Picasso, why did you mix Artists for the backdrop if the theme was Picasso's Period Of Blue. There were many Art Majors in the crowd that were quick to respond to that. Was it difficult to find prints I wonder . Fully engauged crowd PBG and always loooking at the details Creepin in my head today all these stupid little things. Full moon ya know, my wheels are turnin.

Dang it feels like Friday and man I love that song! But the question remains, why was he there? Did he play a set?

He was a festival go-er like the rest of us, I think. then when Laura Manning was late he joined in the Tweener and the old guard stalled for time waiting on L. M. I remember someone maybe Sammy) saying they 'spotted' him in the crowd.

Wondering if Manning will ever be invited to T'ride again. They were late and by all accounts the crew was very rude to many.

 An encounter only of the TBF kind.
 Very nice man and he is on one of TBF's CD's and does that tune Sometimes. I think I must of missed that year he played. Do you remember which year it was? I really enjoy listening to that song.
I feel like givin him what for on his Web Site though. He should of told me who he was ya know why, I would not have known who he was  anywho, unless he sang to me Like em!
