If you have Town Park camping you will be allowed to drive in and unload before parking your car.
It doesn't matter what day/time you arrive.
Just follow the directions of the friendly volunteers where you need to go. Flower

can someone tell me -> about how far is the car parking for those with WF or PT camping passes?

are there a bunch of parking spaces real close, and then a bunch more a bit farther away and then if you don't get to Telluride by Wednesday do they send you to Mountain Village or points beyond?... I'm sure this is somewhere in these past 42 pages, but I'll be danged if I can find it!
thanks

In my experience, if you arrive before Tuesday or so, you'll be asked to park in Carhenge - a parking lot on the west side of town, about a 15 minute walk from TP. If you get there afterwards, you'l be asked to park in Mountain Village, about 25 minutes away from TP.  I've never heard of Mountain Village parking overflowing to a third parking area. This applies to anyone not camping at Illium.

I've heard there's no shakedown street at the festival, but is it straight for my girlfriend to sell her handmade prints around town/ the festival?

Definitely no shakedown street like you'd see at some other shows. I've seen people with low key signs up in front of their tents advertising shirts and things, so I *think* if you kept it subdued you'd be fine. But don't take my word as the law - maybe someone from PB can chime in.

depending on where/how you are selling things, no one will mind.  inside on the other hand, I've seen people asked to leave for selling glowsticks/lightup things/banners/shirts/mugs/mj/beers/hard things/glass/burritos/grilled cheese (hah no not really that was RRox)/I'm sure other people could contribute more.

in the campground, I've seen people leave things out to sell and come back later to a big ol' pile of money.  or foot slaves earn well, I hear.

course also seen whippersnappers stealing beers!

We are flying in to Phoenix so we don't want to pack and lug our festival chairs from home. Do you have any suggestions on where we can pick up reasonably priced portable festival chairs in Phoenix, Flagstaff or Telluride?

in Phoenix, just north of airport, there's a Sports Authority that has a big selection of camping stuff. I've had luck in the past buying inexpensive coolers and chairs from this chain store.
from PHX, take I-10 to Camelback. I think it's right off the freeway.  after picking up stuff, take Camelback west to pick up I-17 towards Flagstaff.  they usually have some $11.00 camp chairs (regular height) and low back chairs in a variety of styles and prices.  If you just get reg height chairs, you'll need to set up furthur back from the stage, in the tall chair area, but it's a good way to save a few bucks

http://www.sportsauthority.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=camp%20chairs&origkw=camp+chairs&sr=1

then there's Walmart all over, but don't know what low chairs they sell...

We had one last year for a couple of days and they asked us to not use it anymore as the Fire danger was INTENSE, and there were many fires through out the state. So they ay have a ban on them this year.

Anyone know at what part of the week they start selling ice in town park?  Does that start when it opens on Saturday or not until Wed/Thurs?

Anticipate red flag warnings from NOAA and a fire ban in town.  On the off chance that a charcoal grill is allowed, you should bring a fire extinguisher for your camp kitchen.

Bring one either way.  If we all have one we can put out almost anything

Can anyone answer when they start selling ice in Town Park?  We are arriving Sunday and I wanted to make sure we can keep all the food cold for the week.  Thanks!
