Town park newb hopefull here (a respectful and sharing one), and I have a question on Campers in Town Park.  This will be our third festival, and our parents are coming, and they are a little over the camping in tents thing.  They want to bring their pop up camper.

Is this kosher?  It's under 24 feet.

Also, does it have to be in one of the numbered spaces?

Can they show up prior to the saturday before and claim one of those spots?

Thanks for any info.  I've already leaned a lot by reading the past 36 pages... EEK!

The "Vehicle Pass" is what they'll need, also sold via this week's lottery, and the hardest ticket to win as there aren't very many. There are very good cots that make tenting very workable for all, really...(imho).

so i've read through all 36 pages and from what i can gather town park is open to anyone from saturday until wednesday. so do a lot of people that don't have town park tickets camp in there those days and then pack up and leave for warner or the other campgrounds on wednesday? just wondering if good spots open up closer to the start of the festy?

Nope, they don't. From Land rush Saturday on, you need to have proper DOCS (ticket/wristband) on you to set up camp in Town Park.
But you can come in to visit, go to an event, etc. until Wed when it gets "locked down" for Festivaaaal!   Cheers

thanks for the clarificatioon swander makes sense as that would be a total clusterfudge having people breaking down camp and moving wednesday. we have tp tickets and will most likely be there on sunday afternoon, which i gather should be fine to find a good spot for our small tent, but thats too far into the future to be sure on arrival time.

Closest showers are indeed at the high school. You'll have to take the shuttle into town and get off at the first stop.

I don't think the high school showers start until the festival starts, though.  Is that right, Sugar?  If you're there before then and desperate, you can probably use the ones in Town Park, as nobody checks wristbands until the start of the fest.  Once the high school showers start, though, they're the best.  You get unlimited hot water!  Ahhhhhh!!!

Dude, there's barely enough hot water for those who do camp in Town Park- in fact there isn't. Man, don't be telling more people to use those showers otherwise ill find your campsite and blast "Born to Run"

Ok, I'm a little nervous reading through this thread.  My friends and I were lucky enough to get Town park Camping passes.  The 8 of us will be arriving to the Festival early Thursday early afternoon (first day of music).  It sounds like most everyone gets there a lot earlier.  I don't care much about location or shade, but we will be able to arrive that late and all camp together comfortably?  Any input would be great.

You should be nervous! EEK!
On Thursday afternoon you'll be lucky to find a spot big enough for two people to camp together, let alone 8 of you.
You will end up together in Town Park, you'll just be 20 yards or more away from each other.
I would seriously look at ways to get there no later than Wednesday morning. Flower
