Tom...

I have not been able to find any info on the set up / line for Warner.  I know it's open at 9am on Wed, but does a line form early ??  Is it better to park across town and stand in line with a few critical camping items and wait for the opening, or wait till 9am to show up and unload gear ?

I'm not T-Tom, but I'll give this a stab anyway....

Yes, a line forms early.. and yes, get in line with at least a tarp to put down and mark your real estate, and something to hold it in place (maybe a full person to stand atop if possible)  until you can get back with more camping gear.

Having someone there early like Hope says is probably a good idea. The Planet Bluegrass staff and volunteers will be busy trying to get everyone in to drop off their gear without causing too much of a traffic jam, so follow their directions as much as possible. There will be early arrivals as well as late arrivals, so try to limit your "squatting" area to it's minimum and all will be happy. Cheers

Hey Tom, all of you seem really awesome and I am really excited for a new elevated expierence. My question is how quickly/easily does one get from TP to the nitegrass shows? Cannot wait to see my mom and my dog who live in Durango and I am eager to make new fam and take advantage of your awesome dry air.

It's just a short walk or shuttle ride to the nightgrass venues and probably won't take more than 10 minutes from Town Park. Cheers

Hi Tom: I am trying to find a ride/carpool from Denver down to the fest. I hope I can figure that out, but if I can't and have to drive can you help me understand parking. My friend has a booth at the fest so she has a car space, but I won't so what would you  do about parking my car? Also I posted a topic in the carpool section, but can't find the posting. Can you tell me where thecarpool section of the website is. Thanks!!!

Here is the Hitching a Ride Section

On the main forum page it is under "The Shop" category and the second from the bottom of that section, above the Lodging Share section.

You will be directed by volunteers as to where you need to park as there is no festival parking in town without a barricade pass. Flower

You need to be logged in to see the ticket exchanges or the Hitching a Ride and Lodging/accomadations sections.  Used to be I could see all sections even if I wasn't logged in, but that recently changed huh
Now if I'm not logged in, all I can see under "The Shop" catagory is Snap Shots and  Show Traders/Tapers.

Been reading this thread & others all morning...my eyes do not yet bleed, but they should.

Anyhoo, I am searching for specifics for Warner Field camping re: time we're allotted for the dropping off of camping gear / locating a site before a droppee's car is banished to the far hinterlands (aka free parking at various places elsewhere).

See, I believe in 'A' list camping (Hi, Hippie!) which means I'll be bringing beaucoup sh...stuff in the form of supplies, gear, etc.

I'm wonderng how one goes about finding a campsite and getting said stuff to said site sans mishap...especially wondering this since it appears my partner in crime, who is the chief lifter of heavy objects and raiser of tents in the family, may be required to leave me at the edge of the field with our goods while he goes and parks the car.

Suggestions? Reassurances? Advice?

Also a newbie, wondering if I can still drive into town on Wed. afternoon to unload @ T. Park without a vehicle pass, or do I have to shuttle everything in?  Thanks for helping if you can....

you'll be given time to unload, when you pull in the gatekeepers will give you about a 1/2 hour to unload. this doesn't mean they will tow you at 31 minutes. just be respectful, don't wait to park the car until the tent is up and dinner is cooking. come in unload find your spot drop you gear and then go park.

.. lay out a tarp and place your gear on it, go park and then set up the tent.  Thumbs Up

Thanks, folks! Half an hour should be plenty sufficient to land and fan. I feel much better now...had visions of cattle prods and Denver boots dancing in my head. What was I thinking? <FACEPALM>

Now to find that recipe for chocolate covered bacon on a stick I saw on that Best of State Fair food show...

One more question: What's the delio for disposal of waste water from dish washing? Or will this be a strictly Wipe & Go event?

Chocolate Covered Bacon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Sorry...lost my mind for a minute.  We pour our dishwater in an area where we know it won't run under someone's tent or be stepped in.
