Wow 24 pages is a lot of info!  I learned quite a bit but I am still fuzzy on one issue.

Is charcoal in or out?

I like would use it in a tiny grill or with a Dutch Oven.

Charcoal is fine. Just be sure the ashes are cold and completely out before you dump them. Flower

QFT?
Quilting for Tybalt?
Quiet Free Thinkers?
Quintuple Ferret Traps?

I am at a complete loss.

"quoted for truth"
A phrase used on internet forums. Use it when another user makes a post which describes your opinion about something so perfectly you just have to quote them in your own post, but don't know what to say about it. Often shortened to QFT or QTF.

Few!  EEK! thanks everyone for being as non-internet - savy as me!  Thumbs Up
I didn't dare ask but others did it for me!  Cheers
Maybe we should have a separate thread just to explain abbreviations... I can't tell you the time I had trying to understand what people meant by ABGAT earlier in the year, when newbies where much fewer on the ground...
Since I've joined the forum, I've learned the meaning of Gondola, Condo, and of course SUR  Evil
looking forward to the proper meeting (less than 2 weeks!!!!!!!) where I get to experience all these things for real...  Wink

The last time I camped at Town Park, my friends were volunteering at TBF, and set up our camp early. So I have no experience with finding a spot in Town Park. Reading the posts here it sounds like showing up later than Tuesday would give us slim pickens'. Though there are just two of us, so I wonder if having a smaller area to set up would make it easier for us to find a place. Any advice is much appreciated!

Hello mayor!  Flower

My work prevents me from showing up until very late Wed. or Thursday morning the 18th. We just have one tent, no big plans for a kitchen or anything. Will we still be able to find a spot to wiggle in to in Town Park? This is my first time going and I'm very excited but getting worried there won't be any space left.

Just ask around your prospective neighbors and I'm sure you'll find a great spot and make some new friends. Don't just start pitching a tent without checking with the neighbors. Flower

Tom's advice is golden (as always).  If you're arriving late Wednesday or early Thursday, it will certainly be crowded, but it's mostly a matter of making friends.  What looks like a fully occupied camp area with no extra tent sites can actually become your new best friends' place.  Our camp, for one, takes up a lot of space for the kitchen, but there's always room nearby and new friends are always welcome.  It's a big campground, and there really is room for everyone.

Okay - this is my first time for Telluride!!  Wave
This site has been amazing and made me REALLY excited about the festival.
I'm trying to get tickets for Town Park but am having a hard time - no worries I'm sure it will be amazing either way - but everyone in the Town Park Camps seems like SO much fun.
We might stay at Mary Ilium - any suggestions/tips about staying there???  huh  or the festival in general?

thanks for all the information - I can't wait to get there!!! (the 18 hour drive is gonna be brutal - this is when I wish I had perfected my teleportation skills!!)  Wink

Ron, before you go "bumping" all over the forum, maybe you should 'splain to the folks that "Bump" means "Bring up my post."  Otherwise they may think you're a coke freak or a disco freak or a bump skier.  Either way we still love ya!

In Hooch's case, it could mean "bacon under my pillow."  In many others it could mean "beers under my pillow" or "booze under my parka."
