woah, you get paid to be a volunteer?! Why didn't I know that??!! ha. So Ry-guy, there really isn't a reason why you wouldn't want to volunteer, my sis and her boyfriends are going that route this year, mostly because they're broke . . . honestly, I should be doing the same, but I was spoiled last year and got hooked on little camps called "run-a-muck" and "wander-in" that I just can't bear the thought of tearing myself away from for too long  . . .  but serioulsy, you can't beat the deal. you get SWEEEET camping spots too.

As for getting to T-ride, i'll bet if you keep your eye out on this forum, someone will be getting into denver or montrose around the same time as you . . . I'll be out there then (Montrose), but I'll prob be in T-ride a week or two before everyone else, otherwise I'd pick ya up.

If you get to know folks on here and fly into Montrose then you shouldn't have a problem snagging a ride to Telluride (and back).  Remember - an offer of free beer goes a looong way!

Go ahead and volunteer, it's not hard work and you may not miss any music. Flower

If you fly into Montrose you can always take the shuttle. Cheers

If you're flying into Denver make a post in the "Hitching a ride" area of the forum. Medal

Except they don't pay you back for the camping, so what he said is correct. EEK!
It's only the four day pass part of the ticket they reimburse. Wink

Hey all,  first year in Town Park (2nd at the festival) so I may ask some stupid questions...

Where does one park their car if no vehicle pass?

If we arrive on Wednesday mid day will we be able to find space for a couple of tents?  Most of us (3 of 4) will be flying in so we won't be bringing the kitchen sink but would like to have enough room to move around.

Thanks in advance.
 Happy Holidays!

Hi Ben.  Welcome.

If you get to Telluride early enough in the week you can park your car in "Carhenge" (like Stonehenge...except for cars) which is a free public parking lot in town.  If it's full then you will have to park up in Mountain Villiage and ride the free Gondola back down to Telluride.

It will start getting crowded by Wednesday but you should have no problems finding a spot.  There is room for everyone with a ticket so never fear.
