Hi Y'all,
Just a question on logistics upon arrival to town. Driving in, will there be signs directing us to the box office? I assume there will be temporary parking at the box office so that we can exchange our tickets for wrist bands? Only after that is done can we drive to Town Park to drop off our stuff, correct?
Thanks!

There is no temp parking at the Box Office (which is next to the post office). Town Park only requires a ticket Wed around midnight. For your drop off, just drive to Town Park and they will let you in with your car for a 20 minute unload. After you’ve set up them go exchange your ticket for a wrist band

TP entrance is on the main road, on the eastern end of town - you can't miss it - you drive over a small bridge.

Awful traffic? For Telluride, I guess, but don't sweat it, it's not that bad.

Hello! Excited to see y'all and boogie down very soon!

I have a question about bringing glass in. I see that it says no glass for the festival but can it be brought in to the camping area? Mason jars, food storage containers, etc? Thanks!

We will be cruising in around 11 on Thursday to Town Park.  Our friend has saved us a spot for our tent (hopefully).  Just want to confirm if we can drive up to the entrance unload then park.  I’m assuming we will have to shuttle back.  Also, what happens if there are no spots to camp?

I’ll be arriving in town on Thursday, but my ticket is in will call. How will I be allowed into town without my ticket to park at the Town Park campground? How long should i plan on it taking to get to town after parking?

Glass is fine in the Town Park campground (NOT allowed in Warner Field though).

So I know this years festival hasn't even happened yet but wanted to ask some questions because we missed out this year but are ready to lock in our plans to be there next year.

1.)  When do we need to be ready to enter the Town Park lottery and have cash to pay for that?  And then how long does it take to find out?

2.)  The Town Park camping passes also come with a four day pass right?

3.)  Can you have RV's or campers in the Town Park area?  What about the WERNER FIELD?

4.)  When do you need to be ready to enter the LATE NIGHT TIX lottery?

5.)  When is lineup announced for 2020?

6.)  If we do not get TOWN PARK or FIELD camping/tix then we would want to stay in lodging nearby - any suggestions on lodging options that are affordable and walking distance?

7.)  If we stay in lodging nearby then we will not be able to access TOWN PARK to see friends - is that right?

8.)  I just read  you need to show up a week before for a "land rush" for camp spots.  What if we can't arrive till Thursday as the festival starts?!?!?!

Hi All!

Have been to Warner Field before but not Town Park.  Psyched for our first TP experience.  A couple of questions:

1) We will be arriving around midnight Wed night or 10am Thurs morning, depends on if we make good time.  We have a 6 person tent for our family and our friends will have a 4 person tent - will there be space somewhere in TP for our tents and an easy-up for our setup at that time?  We don't need shade, but just want a space!

2) Is Town Park ok for kids?  We have 1.5 and 3.5 year olds, and not staying in family camping b/c we won the Town Park lottery.  Thoughts?

Thank you festivarians!  See you sooooon!

1.)  When do we need to be ready to enter the Town Park lottery and have cash to pay for that?  And then how long does it take to find out? The lottery for tickets is usually the second week of November. Get on the mailing list and watch LOTTERY INTRUCTIONS from Planet Bluegrass. Lottery is open for a week & YOUR CREDIT CARD PAYMENT IS INCLUDED WITH YOUR LOTTO ENTRY. Takes about a week to find out. People just watch their credit card activity

2.)  The Town Park AND WARNER FIELD camping passes also come with a four day pass right? CORRECT, same wrist band for both

3.)  Can you have RV's or campers in the Town Park area?  What about the WERNER FIELD? NOPE. There's a lottery for the approx.30 Vehicle Passes in Town Park Campground (Pert Near impossible to attain. Every year's gold ticket)

4.)  When do you need to be ready to enter the LATE NIGHT TIX lottery? MID APRIL

5.)  When is lineup announced for 2020? PB starts the lineup announcements on the WINTER SOLSTICE

6.)  If we do not get TOWN PARK or FIELD camping/tix then we would want to stay in lodging nearby - any suggestions on lodging options that are affordable and walking distance? NOPE. That's research for you. There is a section to read in the forum already for those questions

7.)  If we stay in lodging nearby then we will not be able to access TOWN PARK to see friends - is that right? CORRECT

8.)  I just read  you need to show up a week before for a "land rush" for camp spots.  What if we can't arrive till Thursday as the festival starts?!?!?!Small group would work out fine, IMHO. 4 tents together will be harder. Finding someone to save land for you works mostly.

TellurideTom and Ron n Deb.....  thanks for hosting this forum. Lots of good info.

Much to our surprise, we struck gold on a town park vehicle pass and 4 TP camp passes this morning on seetickets.   Looking forward to meeting everyone and hoping the festival veterans had already earned a spot through tenure. Few questions for the pros.

-With the vehicle pass, are we reserved a spot? Or should we plan to arrive a few days in advance ensure we get a decent spot? How early?
-we plan to bring a 4Runner and tents. Will everyone else’s vehicle be a RV? If so, are we crazy to not have the RV?  Nevermind. Just read elsewhere no RVs!
-Will RVs be prohibited  to run generators or will it be loud AF? NM- no rvs. Sweet. Just the sound of music

Mac

1. if you use a vehicle pass for a non RV, or non medical or children situation, you will be frowned upon by your neighbors.
2. There are only 30 vehicle passes. Consider selling it to someone who actually needs it.
3. Generators, or any noise not made by voices or instruments isn't a cool thing.

There's no limit to RV's, just limit to the length of vehicle or trailer, 24ft. RV's are cool under 24, or trailer.
