Hi All! I'm arriving around 5:00 pm on Wednesday (17th) with 2 Town Park camping passes. Is that too late to get 2 camping spots near each other? Any suggestions on how/where to look for spots would be GREATLY appreciated!

The folks in Town park are pretty friendly and while the campground is pretty crowded by then there is always extra space. Just wander around and talk with your new neighbors, room will open up, and you'll make friends for life.

Thanks so much for the advice. I am looking forward to meeting so many friendly people! You might recognize me as the one who is trying to figure out how to set up the tents. It's been a while!

If that's the case, chances are very good that your new neighbors will come over to lend a hand.

TP Virgin here. SO STOKED. My hubby and I are wondering if it would be worth it to hall our bicycles to TP w/ us? What are the bonuses of having a bike in Telluride? Note, our bikes are road bikes, so aren't very good on lots of gravel, etc. Also, I can't wait to hang out with all you wonderful people!!!!!

THANKS!  Wave

Yes bring your bikes. Easy ride to town on road bikes to get supplies etc. I always bring my road bike and others do too.

I'm going to try to come on Saturday to set up camp early in Town Park which I haven't done before.  Does this work similarly to the tarp rush, or is this a more laid-back affair?  Do I need to be there right at 10a?

It depends on where you're trying to pitch your tent, but generally it's more laid back after the initial rush to the absolute primo spots.  Cheers

Curious how Town Park campers feel if I were to come on Saturday to set up my tent and return Thursday morning? We would like to enjoy the weeklong festivities but due to work and childcare we can't stay. Looks like campers reserve space for others with tarps so I'm sure it's ok to set up and leave???

60 pages is daunting! Bluegrass Fest newbie here. Can I get in with normal camping chairs? As long as I sit in the back?

Yes. High Back chairs are allowed behind the soundboard. If you can roll a basketball under it, keep it behind the soundboard.

I thought highback chairs (higher than a b'ball) had to be behind the horizontal break walkway thru the field. . . a bit further back than the soundboard.  No? Yes?
