Hey Tom  Wave

Now that the trailer is cleaned out. Have you had a chance to dust off that altar for the virgin sacrifice. Don't forget to pack it.  Wink  Looks like we'll have to pur it to use many times with all the Festivirgins coming this year.

 Cheers

Since I've got a festivirgin coming up with me for ABGAT, I guess I'll have to bring it up on the second trip just so she doesn't see it. Rollin

After four years of living in Colorado, my girlfriend and I are finally making our first trip to the festival. I can't describe how excited I am.
We lucked out and scored TP passes just a couple of weeks ago. I've been asking some friends a lot of questions and there are still a couple of minor things I'm not sure of. Maybe someone can help me out?

1) Since we jumped on board so late, we have to pick up our camping passes at will-call.  Does anyone know where that is located? We can't get there until Wednesday and I don't want to spend a lot of time trying to figure out where to go.  (our festival passes are at will-call too, but I'm not worried about finding that.)

2) Someone told me to bring a wagon or cart of some kind to lug our gear into TP. Will we have to hike so far that we won't be able to just carry everything?

3) Unfortunately, we have to head back to Denver Sunday afternoon. Will we be able to bring the car back into or at least close to TP to load up our gear for the trip home.

Here you go ask you shall receive Wave

Next town park across the street from the post oficce, one block off the main street in downtown

2) Someone told me to bring a wagon or cart of some kind to lug our gear into TP. Will we have to hike so far that we won't be able to just carry everything?

Not necessarily , a wagon does help and many of your town park neighbors have them, just ask nicely and one will manifest itself. Depending on where you find a campsite the walk could be feet to 100s of yards

3) Unfortunately, we have to head back to Denver Sunday afternoon. Will we be able to bring the car back into or at least close to TP to load up our gear for the trip home.

Pack up your gear and take it to the nearest road in the campground, The staff will allow you in to the campground to load your car when you are ready to leave.

OK. I posted a new thread asking for info. I probably should have checked out this one first. One virgin perk I can use.

I was trying to find info on the 2008 event in Telluride. Maybe it is too soon? I'm not sure but I miss it every year because I wait too long.

I read a bit about the camping and sounds like a lot of fun. If there is someone who has been there and is willing to share their experience, please reply.

thanks

The Town Park Lottery should happen around the end of October, and other ticket sales will probably start in November. Keep and eye out here and on the Planet Bluegrass web site.
If you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to answer them. Cheers

I'm in the process of building a box to fit on a little (3 1/2' X 5') trailer frame.  As a trailer, it has 2 wheels and a license plate.

Question is:  do I need to build the box to be detachable from the trailer frame in order have the box in camp without having to get a vehicle permit for Town Park, 2008?  Or are very small trailers that no one in their sober mind would sleep in OK?  I might build it to be detachable anyway, but it would be nice to know.

Thanks for any insight-

Ron

don't quote me on this, but I think if it has a license plate, its considered a vehicle, which means it would need a pass. Anyone?
