line policy and camping Meadow Park before Thursday, 19th July

I understand that the line starts on Thursday, 19th July, 9am, and that no cars will be admitted to Meadow Park before that.
But, is it OK to pitch a tent in Meadow Park one day earlier if we pay the regular camping fee to the Town of Lyons? We're flying over from Europe on Wednesday, 18th July, and we won't even have a car to get in line, we just need a place to stay for that first night.
Is that alright or do we need to find somewhere else to stay?

Camping is available at a $20 a day rate until Planet Bluegrass takes over.
You can call to verify if sites are available (but I'm sure they'll have something).
