Thanks, everyone.  There are some really great ones in here.   Medal

We won't start choosing the ones for "print" until sometime this weekend, so keep 'em coming.   Thumbs Up

Remember: The more unique your entry, the more likely we'll find space for it in the program amongst all the other great ones

For further inspiration, here are a couple I just received from writer John Lehndorff:
- Hearing "Blue Men of the Sahara" first played by Strength in Numbers
- Staring hungrily at blue "Homemade Fries" sign
- Emmylou's tight blue jeans when she played with The Hot Band

Here are my submissions for the 2012 TBF Printed Progam. I'm looking forward to my first go at the TBF:

-A first festival experience has me thinking of blue skies, blue tarps and bluegrass.
-As a festivarian virgin its true, I've been dreaming bluegrass through and through.
-I've been daydreaming of my first sapphiregrass experience in an alternate universe.
-"Somewhere over the Atlantic," "Statesboro Blues," & "Post-War Blues" on repeat til June.
-A needed break jammin' at Blue Lake.
-Tears of joy when receiving my first TBF tickets. :)
-My blue quick-dry towel after a mighty downpour listening to "Out of the Blue."
-Our beautiful crew, under a sky of mighty blue.

Watching bluegrass behind blue eyes, made more blue by reflecting the Telluride sky above and a sea of tarps below.

There once was a couple from Pueblo
To Telluride year after year they would go
For good food and brew
And grass of deep blue
From guitar, fiddle and banjo.

***

I leave igloo, bayou and snowshoe,
I pack shampoo, tutu and corkscrew
For a few days of perfection
(And to forget the election)
On a tarp of deep blue (pass the fondue).

***

Heaven presents many forms, this I know,
While aglow in blue skies and Bordeaux.
Life's at a pleasant impasse --
It's time for bluegrass!
Come to my blue tarp and let's disco!

Ain't no blue like the blue in the valley,
Ain't no blue like the blue in my heart,
Ain't no blue like the blue that I'm feeling
'Cause Dustin ain't showing us the art

Ain't no blue like the blue in the daytime
this blue is the Bluest I've been on
Ain't no blue like the blue in my fingers,
Since my gloves fell in the port-o-john

Some say the valley's green, but all I see is blue
Tell you what, I'm all done, ain't gonna think of you,
I got music, I got beers, and i got my dog,
and most importantly, I've got Crunchy Froooooooog!

Shades of Blue

When days are hued blue
Each year just a few
In the box-sided canyon
Of Telluride true

Riffs from the banjo
Guitar, bass and dobro
Fill the chilled air
Of the mountain sky blue

New friends and old one
Dance to Sam Bush songs
As the solstice presides
On a full moon tinged blue

Days to remember
In the grey of December
Swaying in Telluride
To the sounds of grass-blue
